The Secret Sign to Show You're Vaccinated
I recently came across a rant that got me thinking. The person was suggesting that, since the world is reopening whether we like it or not, we (vaccinated liberals, specifically) should come up with a code to indicate that we’re unmasked because we’re vaccinated, and not because we don’t care about the well-being of others. The truth is, there’s already a secret sign in place.

The Next Day
Oh sweet daddy of morning wood. It’s a perfectly natural occurrence for men that feels so amazing. It’s also been quite some time since I’ve experienced it pressed into my back. At some point in the night, Alex and I apparently switched positions. He has one arm draped over my side, his hand pressed against my chest. I’m using his other arm as a pillow. I don’t think I’ve ever been more comfortable.

Reclaiming the Power
I didn’t sign up for this shit. Do you know what happens when you kill a virus that reanimates the dead and use it to make a vaccine? That’s right, it reanimates. We should have known better. Someone should have known better. But just off the heels of a third pandemic, the anti-vaxxers had learned their lesson and seemingly everyone rushed off for the untested vaccination again.

The Breakup
“Listen, there’s something we need to talk about.” That’s never a good sign. She’s not talking to me though. No, Kelsey is in the next room talking to Alex. I swear, her nasally voice could cut through lead-lined soundproofing. The thin wall between our rooms, even with Netflix playing on this side, isn’t enough to drown her out.

A Human Companion
I don’t actually remember his name, but I’ve heard his tale before. We all have, I’m sure. Whether he’s getting drunk in the tavern or making his rounds through town, he’ll tell anyone and everyone about his past. “I used to be an adventurer like you,” he’s called to me so many times before, “then I took an arrow to the knee.”

The Sorcerer's Scribe
The life of an adventurer isn’t always an easy one. The quests we take on from one day to the next may be vastly different, whether we like it or not. Battling ravenous beasts isn’t a complicated task, but sometimes there aren’t enough attacks to go around.
