If You Want More Readers, Consider Seven Things To Focus On When Writing.
Want More Reads? Don't We All... Surely, with 4.8 billion active internet users in January of 2021, there's something you have to share that could catch a few thousand, few hundred thousand, or even a million people's attention. However, as a content creator, you may be wondering how to gain more readers for your stories on Vocal+. You're not alone. Just today I saw a post about reads being down. I think they've been down for most of us lately. What to do to keep your readers coming back?

The Benefit Of The World Today Is The Opportunities That Await Those Who'll Go After Them
Money may not make the world go around, but it certainly helps you get where you have to be. It was in the very early part of 2020 when I was exhausted, fed up, and ready to hang up an almost 25-year long career. President Trump was still on television spouting off at the mouth and telling half-truths to America, and I suspect the world. The only thing I was certain of was that there were opportunities out there for a person willing to chase after them, and they couldn't be any worse than the life I was living at the time. So, I uttered those famous two words, I QUIT!!!

How Did Google Get Started
Google turned 23 this month. As I’m 49, it means a lot that I can’t remember a time when Google wasn’t on our desktops, and I remember a time before the internet existed. Googles’ Ap Store, Google Search Engine, Google Play, Google Servers, or just Google the company. Google has become a modern-day tech giant and a part of our culture.

Adventures In Parenting
Single Parenting How did I get there? Well, at a young age, not to toot my own horn, I was pretty lucky when it came to the ladies. Sometimes too lucky. Then, my childhood sweetheart took an interest. We'd grown up living across the street from each other for 8 years. Suddenly, after a couple of failed attempts, she started hitting on me! I put it that way because it came as quite a shock.

At The Crossroads
"Jesus," exclaimed Hannibal. "What kind of place have you drug me off to?" Hannibal, and his girlfriend Madison, sped up the half-mile-long gravel road, pulling into the squared-off section marked with fresh yellow paint lines. Hannibal decided to drive to Crossroads B & B. He joked with Maddy that it was the least he could do since she chose to bring him instead of a girlfriend. As far as getaways go, this was not Hannibal's first choice. Rather than a weekend on the beach, a trip riding dirt bikes in the dunes, or even a boating excursion down the coast, they were in Northern New York.

Surviving The Darkest Of Places
Feeling Hopeless Arguably, the worst feeling in the world is hopelessness. Hopelessness, defined, is a belief that things won't get better or that there is no way to succeed. It is an emotion characterized by a lack of hope, optimism, and passion. That emotion leads to no expectation of future improvement or success. All of this will contribute to a dark or low sense of being and can change how one looks at themselves, other individuals, their personal situation, and even the world around them.

The Intern -- Chapter 6
After nearly three days, Courtney finally heard from Morris. He overnighted a new burner phone. She scrubbed her internet use the way he taught her and removed the sim card from her old phone before pitching it into the back of a garbage truck. Everything would be fine now... At least that was what she hoped.

What I Wanted Out Of Vocal And Why I'm Still Chasing After That Goal
Recently I wasn't sure I could write anything of value. I had absolutely had it with writing. I had given up any hope that this was an avenue leading to a success of any kind, financial or otherwise. Then, listening to the support and encouragement of my fellow writers in the Vocal community, I hung on. It was during this period that I had an epiphany of sorts and started seeing things from a different angle.

Technology Is Making It Easier To Communicate In The Blink Of An Eye While Replacing The Need For Talking To An Actual Person
Communication is a basic act that implies taking ideas, thoughts, information, or stories and transmitting them to others for the purposes of sharing, educating, or coexisting. While it has evolved over the past 40 years, communication is still just as important today as it ever was. Every day, it seems, that there is something new to learn. Whether it is about the foreign struggle in Afghanistan, the possibility that there are hostages or the protests by the Afghan people against the new regime, we learn it all through media.

The Intern -- Chapter 5
Links to previous chapters are below. Morris waited around Sullivan's throughout Courtneys' shift. He had a couple of drinks, and the two friends ate dinner during her break. While Courtney was busy serving drinks and wings to the locals, Morris quietly worked from behind Courtneys' computer screen as he kept a watchful eye over his surrogate daughter. He cringed as he watched her working the males for all they were worth. Courtney was attractive, had stayed in shape, and knew how to play to a captive audience. Morris knew she was a student of psychology, something that worked in favor of waitresses as they slung drinks and flirted their way to better tips. From the looks of things, she would do fine when it came to tips.
