Bio
I have always enjoyed writing and exploring new ideas, new beliefs, and the dreams that rattle around inside my head. From the current state of the world to the fantastical ideas of science I've enjoyed exploring them. Time to share them.

Thunder Force A Hit, Or Miss?
Thunder Force It's Friday and I'm stuck at home today. Like most of us this last year, I've become dependant on Netflix and the other streaming services to keep me from going nuts around the house. Truth be told, a week ago I was on the verge of kissing Netflix goodbye. A couple of announcements later and this gem of a comedy and I'm glad I didn't.

Remember These Tips Before Calling In To Work To Play Hookie
Even the best of the type-A personalities can have a bad run. You know the type. They've never missed a day, always the earliest to arrive, and are haled by the bosses as their most productive employees. They're the know it, seen it, and done it all men and women that everybody loves. I once had a boss that told me in his office, as he complained about having to deal with someone that got caught ditching work if you're going to do it "stay out of places people might see you, and stay off Facebook." It was good advice to say the least, even if it wasn't the most professional view for my boss to share with me. Later on down the line, he left over a failed drug test, but that's a different story.

What Happened To Us Standing Together?
We aren't seeing "Frank" discussions about what happened to our country, and I don't think we ever will. Because these are just political talking points, when our leaders say, "we need to be having these discussions." They're statements meant to inflame and outrage, every time something unjust or unfair happens. Saying we need to have these discussions about our culture and our country don't solve problems. The only way to solve problems is, and you probably guessed it, to do the work. However, if there is one thing that we should have learned over the past couple of years, it's that the people who claimed to be our leaders, flooded our televisions screens, radio broadcasts, news feeds, and magazine covers, don't want to do the work. Sure, they'll say nice little phrases. Let's give Nancy Pelosi credit where it is due. She's good for positive sound bites from time to time. But where, Nancy, and the rest of you, is this people's work?

If You Liked Avatar Try Watching Terra Nova
Most of the time when someone loves one thing or another the reasons for one exist in another. For anyone the loved Avatar and the vibrant, exciting, and magical world of Pandora, I'd recommend trying the one season of Terra Nova to fill your binge-watching needs.

Cherry Flavored Celebrity Kisses
It's late on Friday. The rain was pouring down like monsoon season in the Pacific Rim. To make things all the more uncomfortable, the temperature had not dropped below ninety degrees for a month. Life is a sticky, messy thing, and the weather was just making things all the worse. By the time Russell got home from work his suit was damp and his two hundred dollar shirt soaked from his shoulders to his waist. Russell was looking forward to Friday but nothing about his day had gone right. His best friend was working on fixing him up with a girl for a month and tonight was supposed to be the big night. Russell knew that postponing was not going to win him any points.

The Dash - The Thing We All Share.
In honor of Tom Bradbury. 2007 to 2021 or, putting it differently, 2007 - 2021. It's the dash that is consistent. The dash signifies the common denominator in a world so divided. Black, Yellow, White, Brown...it doesn't matter what your color, beliefs, religions, or sexual preferences are. It doesn't matter how beautiful, ugly, rich, poor, or lucky you think you are. There's a dash for everything.

Here's One Way To Get A Little Naked Back In The Relationship.
Monogamy isn't in our nature. We often think we can do it, but truthfully it's not something humans are conditioned naturally to live with. Sure, there are some that spend a lifetime with one partner. Some, even manage to do it happily. For many people, they're going to be plagued by thoughts of other people. They'll settle for one but when they're together, especially in bed, their minds wander to the "highlight reel" because the same old thing has become boring. Couples get stagnant and stop enjoying life, stop being with each other because they want to, and are only there out of a sense of obligation. So, how do you deal with a monogamous life and still have that youthful energy that brought you together? By enjoying the things you weren't supposed to do when you were young. Remember, you're not dead, yet!

The Ugly Phenomenon Of Asian Hate!
After hearing about the events of Asian hate crimes over the past year and then seeing the event in Atlanta, I got to thinking about it and discussing it with a friend. I'll grant, what he said, made sense to me on some level. He told me if everyone thought about it as simply as I did maybe it would be a better place. Granted, my thought process is simple sometimes. Especially when it comes to people. Because people are far too complex to be simplified. It's frustrating though, so I'm going to have a frank discussion on paper about hate.

My Most Embarrassing Brush With Fame!
The year was 2005. The WWE was coming to an area close enough to get tickets. We were in the midst of the Afghan conflict and still getting used to our new way of life, not that that would have stopped me from getting tickets. To make things even better, the WWE and some of the superstars were doing autograph signings to support the families of soldiers suddenly being called overseas. My dad, having served in the military, gave me a love and respect for our men and women in uniform so I went out of my way to make it to the signing. By this point in my life, I had an eleven-year-old son who also happened to be a huge Shawn Michaels fan. Shawn had come out of retirement and was back as a full-time performer so we had a chance to see our hero. At the time, the biggest draw for the young, youngish, and let's face it, guys with working eyeballs was none other than Trish Stratus.
