Jaitonic— Musical Genius
Akire Adams, famously known as Jaitonic, is a professional musical and songwriter Tell us a little about you: Jaitonic comes from the fact that my middle name is jai-Quan. I always wanted to drink and I heard of a drink called gin and tonic so because I’m black and white I thought it would be cool to mix the two. That’s where I came up with the idea of Jai-Tonic. I was born and raised in a small town called Schenectady NY. A lot of people knew who I was but I was never a popular person. I was picked on, jumped and spit on by kids at school because I was different and less fortunate. I believe what makes me different as a person and as an artist is due to my up bringing. I was raised in a 2 homes from 1 through 7 full of filth, cock roaches and dirty dishes where either my white grand mother took care of me or my mother. Growing up wasn’t easy and I was even held back in second grade for missing to many days of school.i would have to tend to my handicap aunt where I had to give her baths and had to also tend to my Obese grandmother where because she was to heavy I’d have to bring her diapers so she could use the bathroom then clean up after her. At the time I was there with my little brother and we would sometimes visit my father who is the father of my half brother. later on down the line I grew to find out that the dad who was raising me wasn’t really my biological father, he was Greek and Venezuelan. My biological father sold drugs and the reason my mother never told me about my real father is because she didn’t want me to grow up with out a father. In some ways I feel like it was a gift and a curse. When we would visit my father me and my brother would notice the difference between house holds. My fathers house was much cleaner and things were more laid back. Me and my brother eventually spoke out about our harsh living conditions with our mother, this resulted in our father taking full custody of us. Every other weekend we would get dropped off at our mothers house. Most times both my father would talk behind each other’s backs to us leaving tension in the air and putting us in the middle of everything. As I got older I noticed how strict my father was. It got to a point where I felt like neither my mom or dad were safe living conditions. My father was very racist, I was told not to date black women because black women are crazy. I was also told that I’m not allowed to watch bet because that is a racist Chanel. I was a black and white kid being raised with a distorted perception of reality I dealt with verbal abuse and physical abuse. Sometimes the beatings I received from my father resulted in terrible nose bleeds. My father wasn’t very supportive nor did he provide us with the essentials. My clothes never fit and the shoes he purchased I would have to make them last because that was all I’d get. Sometimes the teachers would donate shoes to me. Living with my father I felt like I always had to defend myself. He didnt want me to listen to rap music, he didn’t like it when I would show off, he never gave me the confidence I needed. It seemed like no matter what I did I wasn’t good enough. One thing that stuck with me the most was hard work that’s one great quality that was instilled in me that I always Mention is hard work I carried that with me my whole life. I felt like if my parents won’t get it for me then I’ll go and get it my self. It was my responsibility to make my self happy.

Rafa Don - Making Ways, Not Excuses
Raphael Fluker, famously known as Rafa Don, is an American musical artist and songwriter from Detroit, MI. Detroit native, Rafa Don spent the majority of his childhood and early teen years helping operate family owned businesses located in the heart of Downtown Detroit. At those businesses, Rafa Don would regularly work on his music from a store computer that he downloaded programs on. On days when store traffic was slow, Rafa Don focused on learning more about music production and the music industry. Rafa Don managed to establish his own record label, Make Way Entertainment LLC at the lowest time in his life financially and mentally coming off of the loss of his mother while beginning to compose his own music. The family businesses went under and were forced to close soon after. At the time, with himself as his only artist, producer, marketer, and so forth, one could imagine the company motto of “No way, Make Way” was derived through the countless hours of work and the resilience it took Rafa to have. His early work can be found under the name “Flu Smif”, a combination of his old street name and his late-grandfather’s last name. Notably, his name, “Rafa Don”, still appears on his early works and heard all throughout those mixtapes as, somewhat, a hint that there are different things about Rafa and his methods that the audience is still not aware of yet. Rafa’s music is filled with a brilliant and catchy flow. His deliveries are unique and insightful lyrics that hint towards many possibilities.

XVI— Raw and Unapologetic
Raw and unapologetically honest, XVI (pronounced 16th) brings his life, love and tribulations into every verse he raps. Growing up on 16th Avenue in a tough neighborhood of East Bradenton, Florida (where XVI indubitably got his name), XVI found himself in and out of public schools and detention centers. "Eat or be eaten" was the mantra he lived by which became his truth and a byproduct of growing up in such strenuous of environments. It wasn't until moving to Clearwater where his life took a new turn, finding himself among other music innovators that took notice of XVI's musical talent. These relationships helped set a foundation for XVI to harness his musical skill and create a platform to release his music. Known for his attention to detail, intricate word plays, and concept driven raps, XVI continues to personify his journey through his music.

Jacob Handy
My name is Jacob "Hayden" Handy, I was born April 25th, 2001, in Toronto Ontario, Canada. Growing up, my dad was a very hardworking man, but in his free time, he loved playing the bass. He loved music, and just like my father, my mother loved music as well. Occasionally my mother would sing for my twin brother and me as we sat and listened, she taught us to be ourselves even if we seemed goofy since I was a shy kid. Down the line of my childhood, I gradually started to pick up traits from both my parents, and I even started singing a bit at the age of three. I was passionate about singing at a very young age and knew that I wanted to be a performer. I felt this greater passion towards singing when my parents would play Janet Jackson or Sade on the television, the soft angelic female voices appealed more to my ears than any other. I got used to listening to the female singers, thus why I only knew how to sing high notes as opposed to now. Now my voice range has extended, I can do bass and Sapreno parts, but it is currently not documented.
