Daily Tarot Reading for January 25th, 2023
In this series, I’m pulling cards from the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck each day and performing readings in order to study and learn to decipher the meanings found in the tarot cards. And to share what the cards are saying with you here.

Daily Tarot Reading for Tuesday, January 24th, 2023
Yesterday’s reading left me with much more than I first realized. I’m always amazed at how I’ll finish a reading and then two hours later I’m hit again with another wave of insights about the cards. I realized after I finished the reading for yesterday that it had been the first day of the new lunar year. Which means there was a definite ending and a new beginning as well. So that really gave me more to ponder.

A Tarot reading for Monday January 23, 2023
In today’s article, we’re changing things up a little bit. For the past week or so I’ve been doing single card draws as part of my learning and study of the tarot. I’m feeling pretty good about my growth that I’ve decided to change things up a little bit. I’ve decided to do two card readings as a way to start challenging myself. As a guitar instructor, I use challenges like this with my students to help them progress on their instruments. And this is my logic here as well. It’s in the challenge that we grow more. If we stay with what’s comfortable, we never really grow. We do continue to learn but it’s at a slower pace. And this is why I feel a lot of people take a long time to learn things whether it’s a musical instrument or tarot cards. So Let’s dive in.

One week of daily tarot readings
I’m learning to read tarot cards and decided to share my journey from the very beginning. Mainly because it’s just more fun to connect with people over the tarot than it would be to do this in private. Plus I’ve heard excellent things about the online tarot community. I did this same sort of thing with a photography blog a few decades ago and I was able to build something that was fun, that I enjoyed, and my readers enjoyed it as well. As I was looking for things I could write about, the tarot popped up and I have been enjoying it ever since. I’ve been fascinated with tarot cards for at last 30 years and it felt like the time was right to start this. It’s been a week now and after a week of reading tarot, I can honestly say I’m having fun with this. Granted it’s just a week. But it’s been fun. And while the responses haven’t exactly flooded in, the ones I have gotten have been pretty awesome. So I want to thank those who have commented. It means a lot to me to hear from you.

Daily Tarot Journal - Day 6
Each day I am pulling a single card from my Rider-Waite-Smite deck and study the card that is given to me each day. Then I simply write my insights and intuitions about the card as they come to me. In doing this, I am learning to read the tarot and learning to further my intuition.

Learning to read Tarot - Day 5
In this series, I’m following the guidance of many and pulling a single card each day, and writing my thoughts and intuitions about that card. I don’t pull the card for myself or any person, place or event in particular. I pull the card with the intent to learn about it, study it, and then interpret it based on my intuition. Rather than make this a private journal, I’ve decided to share this in the hopes that it might help others. Or that you might be inspired to learn to read tarot as well. It’s not as hard as it seems and so far it’s been a wonderful experience. If you’re enjoying this series, please let me know by leaving a comment.

VIII of Swords
Today begins my journey of learning to read tarot cards. I’ve spent the past week or so reading and researching how to learn to read the tarot. Every source I’ve read says to do a daily card pull and then journal about the card. So that’s what this is. I’ll pull a card from the deck each day, write about it, and share my insights. Since this is my first read ever I’ll share my entire process.

Beginings
Recently I discovered a rekindled interest in the tarot. Way back in another lifetime, 1991 to be exact, I became very interested in tarot cards. I bought a Rider-Waite-Smith deck and I read a part of the little booklet that came with it. This was before the internet and there weren’t a whole lot of resources to find out anything more other than what was in that little booklet that came with the deck.

A simple approach to making good exposures with your DSLR or Film SLR
If you’re anything like me when I first started playing with a DSLR camera in manual mode, you are lost in a sea of settings and menus trying to make sense of all of it. ƒ what? And what the hell does ISO mean? And right now all you want is to take a fr****en picture so that you can share it on your instabook!
