Entering College? Feeling Terrified. Here are my Top 5 Tips on how to start off Great!
I was beginning college as a psychology major when I first started watching Remi Ashten. The first few videos I watched of her were her Instagram food videos and some DIYs! I loved her videos, they were all filled with great content and that made it so much easier for me to watch her. But what I felt really happy about was watching Remi Ashten's vlogs while she is in college. She is of Asian descent, she had a different body type that I related too, and she had the most positive outlook in life! When I started to watch her vlogs, I became so happy every time she would upload.
Waking up on October 1, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada was one of the most confusing days of my life. On September 30, 2017, I got back from a trip to Utah to celebrate my mom's birthday party. It was a wonderful weekend but the trip back was exhausting. I had school the next morning and I was already tired enough. When I got back home with my family I unpacked and got my stuff for school ready. Before I went to sleep that night, I woke up the next morning to my alarm clock playing "Jesus Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood.
There has been a lot of talk about the movie Insatiable which is going to be streamed on Netflix on August 10, 2018. Insatiable is about a heavyset girl that is being bullied harshly by her classmates. She is bullied to the point she takes the time over the summer to lose the weight. She also wants to take the advantage to get revenge against her former bullies. Some of the biggest responses of the movie on social media are that the movie is using a skinny actress to play a heavyset girl using a fat suit.
Everyone has their ideal favorite parent. Someone that they are closer to and that they love so much they feel they will die if they lost them. I was and will always be Daddy's Girl. My father William Thompson was in the military, the Airforce. He retired with a disability and worked at a grocery store; he helped bag everything at the local Commissary on the Air Force Base. He met my mom by bagging her groceries but also because he knew her cousin's husband as they both worked together. My mom was born in The Philippines and immigrated here to The United States. She and my father met and after a year they married and soon had me in 1998.
I've always been in love with reading and when my dad passed away when I was seven years old. I thought I lost my love for books until my school counselor helped me she suggested this series to me. She told me it's about a boy who lost his family as well but he has to push those feelings aside to stop the man that murdered his family. I know that is not one of the best summaries of the books but to a seven-year-old, that is a perfect summary for someone to read. I started to read the books and I was addicted to the books. I felt the biggest relation to Harry Potter and I understood the grief and hardships he felt. He lost both of his parents in one life and now is dealing with his aunt and uncle who are unpleasant and abusive.
