Who's really to blame? Pt. 2
Years pass and to the boards surprise, the day after their first physical encounter, the couple stormed out of the resort. Arm in arm. To make a new life for themselves far away from this lavish peninsulas coast. Beyond the town, county and even the republic. To a place hidden deep within a remote town that fed off of the land. A country town. A real back to basics transition of social living. A place where they were accepted as young adults taking a chance at love and happiness. With open arms to the small neighborhood took these strays in. Becoming part of their regular regime of this heaven on earth.

Excitement was reduced to a hushed silence. Frigid static. The air felt lifeless. Skin crawled and goosed. The dryness of the autumn morning fog swept across, in between a circling of corn fields. View was diminished. You could only see ten or so feet from the boarded window. This made it difficult when the question of escape began the day.

Karate Blossoms Part 2
I missed my shift that coming day. I didn't leave my apartment. There was nothing important enough. Even though I work the downstairs deli. That was the only downside. I blasted music, paced, wore headphones over my hooded head. Myrtle, the co shop keep, banged on the door for the greater part of the morning. Pounding while shouting my name. The items on the counter next to the door slowly chattered to the edge. Good thing they lived across town and the deli closes at 12pm on Sundays. I was saved by the bell again.
