Stopping By Stars Hollow: A Critic’s First Watch of 'Gilmore Girls'- Season 1, Episode 21
Here we are the end of a season. Not summer, that hasn’t even started yet (even though every day here has been as hot and humid as mid-August). I’m talking about the end of a television season! Season 1 of Gilmore Girls is in the bag and Season 2 is taunting us in the horizon, but before we move forward, we have to stop by Stars Hollow to pick up the last batch of this season.

Stopping by Stars Hollow: A Critic’s First Watch of 'Gilmore Girls' - Season 1, Episode 20
So to be fair and honest I am already deep into season 3 already. I started this series with the goal to pace myself and to treat each episode with thought and care, but my goodness the binge appeal of this series is so addicting. Thusly while I continue to brush through each episode with a fine tooth comb, please know dear reader that I am in the thick of it and that shit gets buck wild.

Stopping by Stars Hollow: A Critic’s First Watch of 'Gilmore Girls' - Season 1, Episode 19
My goodness, I feel like a worn out old woman. My back muscles are so sore for absolutely no reason, and I like always all I want to do is take a nap. But, instead of letting the need to nap drag me down we’re going to make brownies and be a good friend a hang out at a bonfire. I’m also gonna be a good writer and critic and fulfill my purpose by finishing my articles instead of playing video games! AND I’m going to apply for more jobs even though I really, really don’t want to fill out an application for the 700th time!

Stopping by Stars Hollow: A Critic’s First Watch of 'Gilmore Girls' - Season 1, Episode 18
Did you know that sometimes, when you apply for jobs, they’re fake? And that people try to get your telephone number in order to scam you into going to a fake company? Who knows what will happen when you go there! Maybe you’ll become a sex slave! Or have your kidneys removed! All I know is that I am absolutely exhausted of dealing with fake companies that waste my time as well as companies who try to lure you in with perks only to reveal that their salaries are painstakingly low.

The mosquitos have taken over. I repeat the mosquitos have taken over. I am covered head to toe in bug bites (mainly in the toe region) and am plagued by their whizzing whines. But despite their horrid invasion, I am excited. Why?

Stopping by Stars Hollow: A Critic’s First Watch of 'Gilmore Girls' - Season 1, Episode 16
Oh my goodness, it’s June already! Where has the time gone? What is time anyway? When did time start going so fast? Did someone give time an energy drink or something? Time needs a cold shower and a spa day because she is stressed and overworked.

Stopping by Stars Hollow: A Critic’s First Watch of 'Gilmore Girls' – Season 1, Episode 14
This is the second time in my life that a TV show has come for my dating life. The first was the "Crucible Cast Party" skit on SNL. The second is the episode we are discussing today. So let’s stop beating around the bush and confront our dating transgressions by stopping by Stars Hollow.

I made good friends with a ten dollar bottle of tequila last night. You may think that is a bad thing… it is not. Me and my ten dollar tequila bottle had a great time, we sang, we danced, we burned more furniture, we got freaked out about how easy it is to burn said furniture—all in all we had a good time and I had no hangover in the morning.

Happy Memorial Day, bros. Let’s stop by Stars Hollow for some BBQ and summertime fun. Season 1, Episode 12: “Double Date” I love Rune, but this episode (besides the realization of Jackson and Sookie’s relationship) is absolute filler.

My entire body is sore. I’ve burnt myself, cut myself, stabbed myself… all forms of accidental body harm have occurred to me this past week. All I want to do is crawl under a blanket and binge watch crud all day while shoveling pizza bites into my gaping maw.

Here’s a fun little plug to start off this review. A lovely friend of mine, Val, will be launching a new media review website called They Have Thoughts on June 1. Yours truly has been asked to be a main contributor on the project so go check it out if you want to see more in-depth entertainment critiques from writers of various artistic backgrounds. We’re all very opinionated, very verbose, and very, very blunt.
