Dear Interface
[System Entry #011819 - Earth_Human_Survey_Day_1/5] Dear Interface, Today I saw them. Not just an image of them, but real, breathing humans. They’re disgusting. Their physical form is not morphologically dissimilar to that of an ape – another species which also inhabits this planet. The humans, however, seem to have a sense of superiority – and much less hair. Of course, this isn’t new information, but to see one of them up close was still astonishing nevertheless.

Only Human
The building trembled lightly as another explosion echoed from the distance, causing the ceiling to cough out dust from between its crevices. Constantly and without fail, the alarm system’s buzz rang over and over again. Its loud persistent sound was rivalled only by the clearly spoken recording of a woman’s voice as it echoed through the room, “Warning, the city has been breached...”.

The Infinity Café
“... of this before…?” Bernard trailed off, looking confused. Suddenly, a loud crash echoed through the dimly lit café as one of the waitresses dropped a handful of plates. She knelt down and began to scrape up the shards in a panic, exposing a silver chain necklace which hung around her neck. There was a moment of silence as the crash resonated around the room before the conversational mumble gradually resumed.

Is the Fault in YOUR Stars?Top Story - February 2021
It’s easy to make fun of astrology enthusiasts, but when it comes right down to it, a lot of the population readily engages with the predictions and descriptions they entail. Admit it, even if you are someone who preaches about how dumb zodiac signs are every day, you secretly know what yours is and have looked into your readings at least once in your life.

Superfoods and Super-Health
What are Superfoods? Superfoods are becoming increasingly popular and have become established as a new category of food thought to have exceptionally high nutrient densities and health-promoting effects. From a scientific standpoint, however, the term ‘superfood’ has little meaning, and searching scientific databases for such a word yields very minimal results.

What it’s Like to Live Under a Rock
People often ask me, albeit rhetorically, "Do you live under a rock?". Of course, none of them have ever expected the guileless "Yes" which I respond with. I can’t really blame them though. How are they supposed to know I live in a house that looks like it’s been taken directly from the set of The Hobbit? I grew up in an underground house located in the lush rainforests of Queensland, Australia. It’s a place called Finch Hatton Gorge.

The Perception of WealthTop Story - February 2021
Every morning the traffic on her route to work was awful. It was a slow, torturous crawl through the suburbs while under the constant torment of nagging car horns. To Adeline, it felt like a great trek through the wilderness each day to find food for her family. Day after day, the other mammals left their homes, herded together, and trod towards the concrete jungle where they could gather the resources they needed to feed their families. She used to laugh at the idea of being stuck in that routine. Working a nine-to-three job at the supermarket was not at all what she had in mind for her career. She wanted to study nursing when she was younger. Instead, she ended up giving birth to a beautiful, although unplanned, baby boy. Now, she spends her days working at a supermarket in the city so they can get by.

Dodging The Iceberg
After barely escaping the shipwreck of a year that was 2020, I’ve decided to try and scrape together some form of organisation so I can pretend my life is on track for another year to come. The first stage of this, of course, was to recognise what the issues actually were. Let me tell you now, there were a lot, but I’ve narrowed it down to just a few so you don’t have to read my whole life story. I think the major issues of my past can all be linked back to a couple of key things, which, when I write them down, will probably make me sound like the laziest person since whoever it was that invented shoe-socks.

Blown Away
There’s no doubt that this past year has provided avid opportunity for multiple Netflix binges. Yet one show has stood out to me amongst the rest. Never did I think I would be so utterly mesmerised by a TV show where people compete to make glass objects, but season one of Blown Away has done just that, and it’s blown my mind.
