TV Characters Who I've just Realised are the Worst.
Remember when you watch a TV show for the very first time and you love it so much that several years later you binge watch it again? The second time around is always when you realise that a particular character is honestly the worst. Why is this? Maybe you’ve matured, or you have more life experience that really allows you to see these people as the horrible personas they are.

Album of 2019: WHEN WE FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?
In 2018 my favourite album was LM5 by Little Mix, however this year is a completely different ball game. There are a few honourable mentions of this year, Lizzo came into her own with Cuz I Love You, Taylor Swift blew me away with Lover and Jonas Brothers made a comeback with Happiness Begins. Nonetheless seventeen year old Billie Eilish with her album WHEN WE FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? stole the year 2019 for me.

Film of the Year: Booksmart
In the year that one Marvel phase ended and another began, where the Star Wars trilogy found it's conclusion and Jennifer Lopez actually starred in a good movie, the quirky comedy Booksmart shines bright. Olivia Wilde's directorial debut had been on her mind for a while but the director was insistant on getting this film right, including the right cast. In all honesty I never expected to love Booksmart as much as I did, especially when teen movies have really taken a dive in quality in recent years. However this coming of age film belongs right up there with the best. I'm talking Mean Girls, Clueless, Superbad, all the greats.

Ranking My City Breaks Worst to Best
I've travelled to quite a few places now, let's see how they all rank. 10. London—United Kingdom Maybe I was too young to truly appreciate London but I've been once and never had the desire to return. I was sixteen when I went and it was on a school trip so that may have factored into why I didn't enjoy it as much as I maybe should have. It could also be that, being from Scotland, the culture in London isn't far off what I already have and so I'm not really learning anything new from the experience. Regardless of never wanting to go back, I did enjoy my walk around China Town.

Make It Gay You Cowards!
SPOILERS WARNING: There are spoilers for several shows and films below, so fair warning. We live in a world of tropes such as "bury your gays" and queerbaiting in our current media. Whilst representation has undoubtedly improved over the years, we still have instances where creators and writers are holding back from giving that representation or claiming that they are giving that representation only for us to find out that it lasts two seconds. For example, I was super excited when the Russo's announced that Avengers: Endgame would feature Marvel's first ever gay character and was really hoping for a Captin America or Captain Marvel reveal. Instead I was disappointed with a nameless character who is dealing with the loss of his husband. This makes me mad for two reasons. Firstly a passing character in a passing moment hardly counts as representation in a film full of straight people. And two, they built it up like it was going to be this big amazing moment for it to last two seconds. That pisses me off. So in this article we'll discuss multiple movies, TV shows and characters that had a real chance to give us proper representation but instead fell into the trap of cheap tricks. Or alternatively are taking the tentative steps towards giving us the representation but are taking their damn time.

Most Empowering Songs for Women of the Decade
As my sister has already started mentioning Christmas I've began to realise that the decade has slowly began to draw to a close and so it's time to discuss the most empowering songs for women across the whole decade. It was too hard to just choose ten songs so this will be a longer list than I'm used to. All of the songs on this list will be perfect for your girl power Spotify playlist. I will link my own girl power playlist that includes all these songs and more at the bottom of the article so feel free to listen.

The Best Thing About 'Stranger Things 3'
So season 3 of Stranger Things dropped on Netflix on the 4th of July and if you're anything like me, you binged the whole thing in a day. There was a lot to love in season 3, although there was a lot that could have been done better, such as Max (Sadie Sink) and El's (Millie Bobby Brown) growing friendship, Nancy (Natalia Dyer) once again proving she's a badass and Hopper's (David Harbour's) shirt. However, from the very first episode, my favourite part of season 3 was the new character of Robin, played by Maya Hawke. Robin works at Scoops Ahoy with Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) where she constantly makes fun of him and wonders how many children he has. However, Robin is also a genius. She speaks four languages, translates Russian code, cracks the code and is tortured and drugged by Russians. To summarise, I would die for Robin.
