Season of The Crystal Globe
Brisk, violent winds batter the bricks that shelter us from the outside elements. River banks burst at the seams and the risk of rain-induced floods increase with each fresh, crisp, dawn. Roads ice over, thick air freezes our lungs, and fields lie baron in wait of the thaw. But with each new day the sun hangs low and prominent, an orange promise of what’s to come. A beautiful refraction in the crystallised dew drops, a bright reminder of the hope we hold in our hearts for brighter days and warmer nights.

The ‘Gamification’ of Vocal
It’s been a while. Such a while, in fact, that it’s a little embarrassing. I open this story in this way because Vocal is the kind of writing platform that encourages community, friendship, and vulnerability among its creators. It’s not a place for strict informative writing or dull articles with cited sources and bland personalities. And it’s for precisely this reason that I’ve fallen in love with the platform and put out over 60 pieces of writing so far. But it’s not enough — I’m looking for a deep dive!

If I Had A Magic Lamp
If we were to talk probability, there's a universe out there where Aladdin exists, and of course, if that were true (the main character such as I am) I would be him. Which is apt, since I've always fancied myself both a street-rat and a handsome prince.

Our Beautiful WebsTop Story - October 2023
Crisp air bit the back of her throat as she strolled across the open acres, careful to avoid the fairy handkerchiefs glistening in the morning dew. As the soft rays of sunlight illuminated those tiny beads, she couldn’t help but think of the spiders that slaved over them, and for what purpose. It was both cute and unnerving— she hated spiders, but how beautiful their creations could be.

You Need To Hear This!
1: Stop hoping for more, because it’s unlikely you’ll get it — It’s a waste. Give up on lavish homes, expensive cars, and branded clothes. Instead, focus on simplicity. Just enough. Getting by. No debt. A bit of peace, simple clothes, and a simple life.

Confessions From An Apple Fanboy
I’m not sure exactly when it started, but it was sometime between puberty and my first sexual experience with anything other than a pillow. I was always into my computing, which consisted of basic auto-run scripts to play ACDC on start-up, torrenting some pretty awesome quality movies, and learning how to create websites with HTML and CSS.

I'm 8 Days Into 75Hard and I'm Loving It!
So It's Monday morning. I've just woke up from my first night in a proper bed after spending 7 days locked in an empty room, and life (while obviously changed) seems at extreme risk of going back to how it was before.

The Book That Changed My Life
When I first sat down to think about which book ultimately changed me, I was stilled. How do you narrow down such an expansive list? How can you put one before the other? Each book a milestone, a turning point — a new lesson or experience compounding on top of the last. Each chapter a new day, each sentence a breath. Each individual word an expression of the authors creativity, passion, drive, and hard work.
