Walking A Tightrope
When you feel like you are walking through life on a tightrope, every little movement seems so unsteady. Over what appears to be a deep, never ending, dark endless chasm below. You are stranded in the middle, knowing that behind you is the past and what lies before you is an uncertain future. The fear inside freezes you in time and sometimes makes you unable to move. Thoughts run through every inch of your body. You know you don’t ever want to move backwards, but there are moments you wouldn't mind living over again. Not the painful ones but the beautiful ones. Ahead of you can be just as scary as looking back. We want to be positive and see the light at the end of the tunnel but it seems like the light has been turned off due to lack of payment. With every gust of wind or unsteadiness on our part we risk falling. Falling off the tightrope and being washed away into the abyss below.

Late Night Writer
In the silence of the night, under the cover of darkness, in the quiet that only belongs to the late hours, is when I do my best work. With the low hum of a space heater and the entrancing sounds of my favorite music, as my background noise, I settle into my chair and begin. My hope is to make this one just a little better than the last. Evoke a few more emotions and create something to make every reader ‘feel’ the story. I have one big fan and honestly, I never want to disappoint him. I know the stories touch everyone in a very different way. As I think they should. Some may give you the hope you have been searching for, while others are almost too relatable. My intent is to have you, the reader, not only read the words but feel them also. Feel them in your heart, visualize them in your mind, hear the words….BE the words. Put yourself into the story and hopefully gain something by the end of it. Whether it be strength or hope, happiness or love. Even if it is just a story that you can attach yourself to, be one with the story. Find something useful that will help on this journey called life.

The Heart Knows Best
Ending anything in life hurts. Whether it’s a job, a marriage, a friendship or anything else that doesn’t have any benefit in your life. BUT...when you end something and it hurts way TOO much, it’s time to re-evaluate and assess the situation. When the crying and feeling of loss outweigh the relief and freedom you are supposed to feel, maybe a mistake was made. Time to re-think the decision. Ask yourself the questions that maybe you didn’t ask before. Maybe you think you thought everything through and had your mind made up. You were strong in your conviction and knew what had to be done and then something changed. Maybe that ‘something’ was as simple as a word or a look. Maybe it was a feeling that crept up on you and caught you off guard. Maybe it was just a gut feeling. No matter what it was (or was not) now you are left in limbo, totally confused and unsure of what to do next.
