One World to Rule Them All
I remember first stumbling across the fantastical works of Tolkien when I was 8 years old. While other children in my class were reading the latest Jacqueline Wilson novels, I was riding through the plains of Rohan with the Rohirrim, I was defending the walls of Minas Tirith, I was part of the strongest fellowship ever created and I walked with them every step from the green meadows of Hobbiton, to the fiery slopes of Mount Doom.
The First Viking Siege of Paris - 845 CE
The Vikings are known as fearless warriors who raided cities, towns, monasteries and anywhere in fact, that may have hidden riches. Not only this, but the Vikings had a rich mythology and a desire for glory that spurred their daring achievements.
(8)Cos these are the best days of my life (8)
Before we start... who remembers that (8) on MSN was the musical note? Just me? No? Good, Let's go! 2004- 2012 was the time when music really supported and guided me through what can be quite a tumultuous time for teenagers. The Urbz: Sims in the City
One of the best memories of my Playstation 2, comes in the form of the Urbz. It's one of those games that not everyone had when it came out on a variety of games consoles in 2004, but everyone of a certain era definitely remembers this venture into the big city for our favourite Sims.
Top 11 Hamilton Moments
When Disney+ dropped earlier this year, people were exposed to such a plethora of new material that hadn't been accessible anywhere before. The best of which (in my opinion) was the Broadway recording of Lin-Manuel Miranda's phenomenal hit, Hamilton.
The 7 queer moments we needed this year...
To say 2020 has been a bit of a rough year, would be an understatement. However, it has been the first year, that I can remember, that has held so many wonderful moments of visibility for queer people all over the world.
Hidden Meanings you had no idea were in Harry Potter!
The Harry Potter books have been in circulation for over 20 years now (I know, I can't believe it either) but how many of these hidden gems did you know about the characters and spells that we've come to know and love?
