Doggie in the Middle
We’ve all heard about the classic game “Monkey in the Middle”, but what if you were to replace the word “Monkey” with “Doggie”. In that case, it would make more sense to include your dog when playing the game. The name of the game would then be “Doggie in the Middle”. All you need to play is your dog, yourself, another person, and at least one chew toy for the dog. It is recommended that you find a room with a large enough space for your dog to run back and forth.

Why Old Classic Video Games are Priceless
During my transition from being a High School student to becoming a young adult, I’ve learned why the standard classic video games are priceless. While going through this time of my life, I’ve been very busy with college. With this priority at hand, I am unable to spend as much time buying and playing the newest video games on the newest gaming consoles. (Not to mention how expensive that would get.) Therefore, whenever I take a moment to play video games, I choose to play retro games. These types of games are very simple and easy to understand. They are some of the most basic video games out there that just about anyone could learn how to play. In my experience, the depth of these games is fitting for how long I want to take a break from my responsibilities. Within just a few rounds of retro games (about 10 minutes total), I’ll be ready to turn the games off and go back to work.

COVID-19 Has Changed Our World - Part 1
It is surprising how much our world has changed within this calendar year of 2020. Back in January, the world was operating in a normal manner. All restaurants were open for dine-in service (in addition to take out and/or drive thru). Similarly, movie theatres and bars were open for business. Shortly after January however, these services were shut down due to the coronavirus. Events such as concerts and important meetings were either being cancelled or postponed. In addition, schools were closed and people were laid off from their jobs. In today’s society, many people are working from home. Business meetings are now being held through means of virtual communication Those who are not able to work from home (with the exception of essential emergency services) have had to file for unemployment. The large number of people who have had to file for unemployment has led to a financial crisis. This financial crisis is in addition to the health crisis that the coronavirus has caused.

COVID-19 Has Changed Our World - Part 2
The second piece on the release (Foreign Area) titled “Beauty in the Unfamiliar” is a short and calm piano piece which is meant to convey the nature of everything being shut down by COVID-19. The piece begins in a very calm manner and then maintains a steady eighth note motion in the accompaniment line. On this steady rhythmic motion begins in the key of B Major, the chords in this piece travel in unexpected directions as a way of highlighting uncertainty and the unexpected. However, the piece returns to B Major occasionally to illustrate stability and confidence moving forward in this challenging time. Eventually the eighth note momentum ceases and the piece concludes with a B Major chord. This ending is meant to help the listener feel at ease. In general, this piece can help the listener relax whenever they are stressed or trying to go to sleep. (See links below.)

We can instantly log into our social media profiles whether it be from home, in between two back to back classes, or during a brief lunch break at work. Whether you post often on social media platforms, or simply just read the posts of others, social media has a tendency to take up a lot of our free time. Sometimes, taking a break from it may be necessary.

In a small, but popular town, there was a local lake visited by many. Within this dark blue lake lived a dragon of water which has been in a deep slumber for many years. The dragon also had dark blue skin and did not want to be disturbed. People from all over the world have wandered through the park where the dragon lives. The park contains green grass, colorful flowers, one sidewalk for both joggers and runners, and large trees which visitors could have picnics under. At the lake, there are warning signs stating not to throw items into it. These cautionary signs were established to prevent the reawakening of the water dragon following the past incident.
