We all want to travel. Everyone has somewhere they want to see, experience, and explore. Funny thing is, those of us "travellers at heart" have quite a few places in common. Actually, we have a lot of places in common, enough to make a list. ;)
The most frustrating thing is opening an article to find helpful information, and instead reading about some online surveys you can do, or an app you should try for a few cents. I mean, sure you can make a few bucks here and there, but not real, pay-the-bills type of money. You know? The kind that will fund your travels, pay for daycare, or just give you a work from home option.
On Tuesday afternoon, Mitchell called me from work at 1 PM. In the duration of our ten-minute phone call we decided when he got home we would pack up, load the car, and hit the road. A last minute road trip. My favourite kind of road trip, of course! We got off the phone at 1:10 and planned to leave at 2:30—meaning I had exactly 80 minutes to get all the camping equipment together, go buy food for the trip, pack up the car, and notify our friends and family that we wouldn't have service for the next little while. Our plan: The west coast!
It is the norm today to not love yourself. In fact, it’s everything industries and the government bank on. I do not typically watch TV—actually, I haven’t watched actual TV in years. The other day, I sat down to watch a movie with my family, and on came the commercials. Truthfully, I had forgotten about them. There they were, though, still annoying, repetitive, and way too long. More so though, they were covered in passive-aggressive insults and supposed “solutions” to problems they love to convince people they have.
I moved to Vancouver, BC in the fall of 2016, but I still feel like such a tourist. BC is an exciting place to explore, if you take the time to do it. The mountains, city, and ocean make for a beautiful place to live. The problem, however, is that a lot of the people who live here do not actually tour their own hometown!
