Quarantunes: A 2020 Playlist
Okay so aside from the amazing music that came out of 2020, there are also some songs that actually just remind me of the vibes throughout this year. There's no particular order when it comes to these songs, but I'm sure as someone who is well aware of the events of this year you can relate or understand why these songs are a good representation. Although the songs may home an actual meaning unrelated to this year's events, at the least the song titles will have some sort of connection in my mind.

2020 Albums That Got Me Through The Year
For those who have been lucky enough to be home, it could mean that you had even more time to listen to your favorite tunes. I might just be referring to my own experience, but seriously, this year's releases were especially needed.

Natal Chart Observations: Communication
Growing up & hearing, "there's no need to cry" or "stop crying" or "why are you crying" has been truly so negative to my well-being & I just recently came to this sad realization. I never noticed that by listening to those words then feeling ashamed for crying, I was dismissing my feelings instead of validating them. It was only during one of my crying sessions last summer did I mentally walk myself through the way I was feeling. I then realized more attitudes I have to unlearn from my upbringing & hopefully learn better ways of handling my emotional frustrations.

Choices
[ Trigger Warning TW - mentions of abortion, rape, & graphic imagery ] In a way, it's like the trolley problem. But instead, one track is where both the carrier & the fetus die, & the other is where just the fetus dies. Obviously, doctors won't go aborting fetuses near the end of a pregnancy. There are limitations to when a fetus can be aborted.

My Exposé on the Impact of Skin & Body Perception in Society
It’s pretty common to have acne insecurities because we live in a society that often values “perfect” skin. Some people are lucky enough to have genes that can more easily clear up the skin, others not so much. While pimples aren’t necessarily genetic, genes do have an impact on the likelihood of them because of hormones & how well the body is able to minimize them.

2020 Rant & Reflection
Disclaimer: Please just read to understand, not read to respond. If you agree, cool. If you don’t, you’re welcome to distance yourself from me in whichever way you feel comfortable. I respect any unhostile attempt to not want to interact with me. This post is not a debate, I’m not here to answer counter-arguments, but rather share a personal reflection & leave it at that. You have your own space or social media to share your opinions with your friends & I can promise I am mature & respectful enough to not go out of my way to prove my opinions as the end all be all.

Movies That Defined My 2020
I am here to discuss movies I watched for the first time in 2020 which I felt have some kind of significance to me personally. If you haven’t read my other articles, you might not know this perspective I write about often which is that some things cross your path for a reason. The movies that basically define my 2020, or quarantine since I watched these movies while there was a stay-at-home order, I truly feel fall under the same circumstance.

Jump Rope Jams
I've never been a hardcore gym monkey, but I definitely make sure I try my best to stay in shape especially with the increased temptation to stay in bed while being at home more often than usual. Nothing is a better motivator in my opinion than some good tunes. Not sure if I'm the only one who does this, but I often try to match my movements with the music so that's why my playlist can't consist of music with an out-of-control fast tempo. However, it does have to be enough to get me moving. It's easy to adjust your speed to jump along with the music too.

A Brunette's Holy Grail Guide to Purple & Blue Dyes
It's been 8 years since I first starting experimenting with fun, non-traditional colors in my hair. I've bleached it & used boxed dye (sorry Brad Mondo!) so it's been through a lot. Luckily enough, I've still got a head full of thick hair. Since then, less damaging hair dyes have come into the market so today I'll be sharing my current favorites which I consider my holy grails. I included the prices in USD but of course, availability & pricing varies depending on your location.

Favorite Skincare Finds From "Quarantine" That I Still Use Today
Well since then I've been s(afe)tuck at home. As a Taurus sun, that is far from a bad thing because that meant I had more time to take care of myself. It’s also pretty common for Venus-ruled astrology signs to be self-care enthusiasts so if you relate, you might have some Venus placements in your birth chart or aspects that activate a Venusian vibe.
