Nirvana Express
A loud, deafening silence filled the area. It was broken by the pounding headache’s loud sound that kept going back and forth. The head felt heavy, and under pressure, rocking left and right, following the headache’s beat. The head moved around like no neck or spine held it in place.

The Tale Of The Midnight Sun
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. Standing some 50 feet from the building, Nathan carefully scrutinized its surroundings. Even though the moon was hiding and the night sky was pitch black, the area bathed in bright light. How could such a small candle produce so much light?

The Colony
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Today, though, was a different story. As Jasper made his way through the desolate Merrimack Valley’s desert, one of those beasts emerged from the sky and blocked his passage. He was expecting to arrive at a colony, not encounter one of them.

The Bridge
10:30 PM. Despite the strong winds attempting to push me aside, I stood still on the bridge's guardrail. The darkness of the night surrounded me as I stared in the distance. Below me, the downtown part of the city spread out, offering me a spectacle of shimmering lights coming from its lit skyscrapers, traffic lights, and moving vehicles.

A Plurality Of The Mind
Author's note: I was challenged by one of my partners to write a haiku based on my dissociative identity disorder, more precisely provide a summarized description of my alters, or multiple personalities, and how we interact together. While I have taken the time to know the six closest ones to me, and they have also appeared to do the same homework, this exercise made me (us?) realize it is at times much harder than anticipated to describe one of those entities in only a few words. Some other entities are not entirely brought up, as I do not know enough about them to justify me writing on them. Some of those are also unwanted by our system. In order of appearance are: myself, Dart, Lex, Sophia, Ryan, enix, Rubiss. We are as diverse as we can be, of various genders and identities. We each have different skills, different strenghts and weaknesses.

Wanderer of the Apocalypse - Episode IV
Morning came, and everything was quiet in the neighborhood. I was peacefully sitting in the kitchen. I listened to some Duran Duran in my headphones, while I waited on my kettle to provide me with near-boiling water for my tea. Breakfast was barely served and Rupert had already devoured the contents of his plate.

The Room
Author's note: this story is a sequel to The City Ripper. --- I woke up a moment ago in complete darkness. I am laying on the ground and I cannot see my surroundings. I can barely see my own hands. The floor is cold and feels humid. It is also very hard. It must be a concrete floor. We do not have a concrete floor at home.

Wanderer of the Apocalypse - Episode III
Home is a two-bedroom condominium unit in the current neighborhood, with a large living room doubling as my former home office. The whole unit takes place over the entire top floor of a duplex. The bottom unit comprises the ground floor plus the basement areas. My unit also has rooftop access to a terrace that I built and improved throughout the years.
