Under the Stars
I had just arrived to my resort in Bali, and it was more beautiful than I had ever imagined. I had needed this vacation. I had suffered the loss of both of my parents in a car accident, I quit my job as a server in a restaurant, and my boyfriend decided to call our relationship off out of the blue. When I had a breakdown in the middle of the grocery store parking lot, it became abundantly clear that I had to get away. So now here I am at the Bali Beach Resort.

Behind the Last Window
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. His room being her current fling, Stavros. Mia looked to him to see that he was still sprawled out on the bed; naked and asleep. She turned back to the window and gazed out of it to the distance. It was very depressing to look out and see an empty plain with such twisted, dead-looking plants. And what little grass was out there was turning brown and decayed.

The Snow Sprite
It was a winter night, still and cold. That’s just the way I like it. Winter is the time of year that we snow sprites feel our most beautiful and powerful. The cold weather makes my icy hair spike up, my light blue skin sparkles like stars, and my aura glows like the moon. Our bodies are a lot like the icicles that we create off of tall structures. Long, thin, and light enough to travel with ease in the wind. Our wings can only carry us for a mile or so but they have more than one use. They keep predators away by looking like sharp teeth when we open them, help us look a little more invisible to the world, and are the source of our magic.

Where Healing Happens
Shannon Keller is running away. She knows this and readily admits how cowardly it is. But what had happened to her was the last straw. Her soon-to-be ex-fiancée, John Dalton drove her to this as did her father’s refusal to help. He keeps stressing how important it is for her to make John happy in order for the merging of MaxKen and Dalton companies to be successful. Her father arranged for them to meet in the first place in hopes that it would work out in his favor as the CEO of MaxKen. So, he won’t hear of a “petty little argument.”.

Merry Finds Christmas
It’s the Christmas season in Calgary, Alberta. The streets of Stephan Avenue are crowded with families carrying Christmas gifts and store bags, just getting ready for their festivities. Meridian Curtis also known as Merry is loitering beside the Core Shopping Center wall watching everyone come and go from the store. She is waiting for the right moment to slip inside unnoticed. The security guards walk outside watch all the fancy people (especially the women) walk out. That’s when Merry slips inside the doors and walks straight into Holt Renfrew like she belongs there.

Struck by Destiny
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. But what if you screamed out into space. I can safely say without a doubt that something out there does hear you. But what happens when they answer back is the question you don’t want the answer to. Take my word for it.
