I will just move on with what I believe to be exciting news.

Coming Out The Closet
My friends, I am sure by now you are aware, I do a ton of thinking. Even more now than normal, as I have become more familiar with a little feature them smart phones called “DO NOT DISTURB” or as I like to think of it as the “YOU SHALL HAVE PEACE” feature.

The Emancipation Struggle
We have for centuries looked at the life and legacy of the great Harriet Tubman a certain way. Madam Tubman was an American abolitionist and political activist. Born into slavery, who escaped and subsequently made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people, including family and friends, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad. We know During the American Civil War, she served as an armed scout and spy for the Union Army. She was first woman to lead an armed expedition in the war, guiding the raid at Combahee Ferry, which liberated more than 700 enslaved people. And finally in her later years, Tubman was an activist in the movement for women's suffrage.

Now Is The Time!!
The world is boiling, a boil which has hit a point of no return. For the African American, there is no return to normal, for this our society in general, there is no return to normal. What COVID-19 hasn’t ripped up, systematic racism has. It has placed us at a fork in the road, one which is exhausting, frustrating, and outright painful; while at the same time exciting, full of life, and opportunity for both change, and advancement.

Never Having A Father!!
I sit every year trying to find the words. EVERY YEAR! I sit here thinking, hoping, praying this will be the years; the year I will finally be able to come to terms, to understand, to gain closure about how I feel about Father’s Day. I am not sure, this is the year, nor do I believe I will be able to completely do this conversation justice, however I am confident because this is the year I can actually begin to look at it. To give more context, for Thirty six years, now I have just swept my feelings under the rug, asking why I have to deal with this again? I don’t want too, it is too painful, I just want to speed through, and get through. I am so glad, that was then, and this is now; but before we can deal with the now, we must deal with then, because its time.

What About These Kids?
It is easy for me, a kid who was constantly beat up, constantly the ass of everyone’s jokes, constantly the center of attention negatively to sit here and not give two 💩💩 about the times we live in. It is easy for me to be in self isolation, because for the first time in my life, I have be allowed to live in true peace. For the first time in my life, I have not awaken in panic; for the first time in my life, I have not had to mentally prepare myself for battle, No. No. No... My Mornings now are filled with excitement, with a positive outlook, accompanied by anticipation of what I can accomplish today.
