Migraines and Headaches
We’ve all been there. That really bad migraine that will not leave you alone all day. It cripples you and disables your productivity the whole day. We’ve all experienced that annoying, persistent headache that drains your energy throughout the day. Those are the worst days. You don’t feel terrible enough to go home and rest, but you don’t feel very good either. Migraines and headaches are the worst type of pain for that very reason.

First Day of Summer
The day is Saturday, June 20th, 2020. Midsummer Day. It is officially the first day of summer. After many long and tedious months, Spring is finally over. It seems a little crazy, doesn’t it? I don’t feel like it should be summer already. We didn’t end the Spring as we’ve always done with parties and graduations due to the current virus pandemic. Even with that knowledge, it still doesn’t feel like summer. Maybe it’s because half the year has gone by and we’re entering into the second half. You know what’s funny, I’ve even started planning Christmas presents. Now to be fair, I’m a terrible gift giver so I need all the extra time I can get.

International Picnic Day
Thursday is a day like any other. Nothing too special – another day in the daily grind. Some love Thursday as they are only one more day away from the weekend. Many are indifferent to Thursday. It seems Thursday is the most underrated day of the week. Nothing out of the ordinary or special about it. And yet this Thursday is a rather special one as we celebrate International Picnic Day.

International Clothesline Week
What is International Clotheslines Week? It is the first week or so in June where people agree to hang their laundry on a clothesline to dry rather than using their dryer. One may ask, why would anyone agree to that? It may seem a little old-fashioned after all. Believe it or not, it’s still a method to drying clothes many people all over the world still use. My family and I used the clothesline to dry sheets and towels for years. To be fair, it was more because the dryer we had was in terrible shape and didn’t function properly. Some may use a clothesline for the same reasons. It’s cheaper or maybe they don’t have a dryer.

National Trails Day
Being outdoors is great. You get to enjoy the sunshine, the rustling of the trees, the birds chirping amongst themselves. You can breathe the fresh air. You will breath no better air than when you are in the middle of the forest. It’s so raw and natural. Being in the wild takes you back to a simpler frame of mind. It reminds you of simpler times. Before all the complex and dirty details mattered, it was just nature.

World Environment Day
The environment is very important to us. It’s composes what we live in. The air, wind, mountains, hills, plants, animals, etc. – they are all a part of our environment. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? I have a board on Pinterest that has pictures of some of the most beautiful landscapes on Earth. It’s my “Traveling Dreams” board. I have so many traveling goals. The different environments all over the world are precious and special and should be treated with care.

Global Running & Bicycle Day
June 3rd, 2020 Running and Biking. These are both awesome forms of cardio. I was never a big biker, maybe as a kid. Once I got into college and started caring about my health, I was all about running. For the first year or so, all I did was run. Mostly inside on a treadmill where I could study for class while running. By the way, there is some pretty cool research out there about mental cognition and exercise. Does working out help you study better and retain information? Does it make you smarter? Check out some of the interesting research going on to see what scientists are saying.
