Will we ever see a 3 division UFC champion??
At the time of publishing this article, we're about a week removed from UFC 269 where Amanda Nunes dropped her 135lb title to Julianna Pena. No sleep lost for Amanda though, she still has her 145lb belt and there's definitely no Featherweights coming to challenge her any time soon. I mean MAYBE if the UFC signs Kayla Harrison and she drops down to Featherweight. But that's a big if. So yeah, Amanda's 145lb belt is going to stay safe around her waist for a very long time.

Double champ Valentina?
Very recently I published an article discussing the future of the UFC Women's Featherweight division now that Amanda has dropped her Bantamweight belt to Julianna Pena. While writing said article, I very briefly talked about their rematch. Then; Valentina's rematch against Amanda then came to mind. This was/is a very controversial victory for Amanda. We'll never see the trilogy though, but that's fine. However, let's say Amanda loses the rematch against Pena, doesn't take the rematch at all, or decides to wait for the rematch for some tune up fights first. What if Valentia steps up and wants Pena's Bantamweight belt?

UFC Women's Featherweight division
At the time of publishing this article, it has only been a few days since Julianna Pena's crazy upset victory over Amanda Nunes for her Bantamweight title at UFC 269, on 12/11/2021. Which got me thinking, sure Amanda and Pena are definitely going to run it back for an immediate rematch. They absolutely have to and Pena immediately offered a rematch, but as it stands we're waiting on Amanda's word for a rematch. Let's say it doesn't happen though for whatever weird reason. What about Amanda's Featherweight belt, what is she and the UFC going to do with that belt?

He was born on a Monday
"OPEN UP ELEVEN!" The guard shouts. Leading a scared young adult to his new cell. We're introduced to Jason.. 5'10 medium dark hair, fair skin, a decent build but not overtly muscular, nothing all that spectacular at first glance. The only obvious feature was he was clearly in over his head. He was trying his best to hide it but his eyes were filled with dreed.

The animal inside
My name is Garfield Logan, but please call me Garth. Boy do I have an interesting story to tell you. I don't know how I should tell you this but I have some interesting, abilities. I still don't completely understand my powers, I don't even know how I really got them but that's not really important. There are shape shifters, I think. But I can't think of any other metahumans that can do what I can do. For some weird reason, I have the ability to change into any animal I want. Oddly, I always turn out green for some reason which is strange but again that's besides the point. The first time I had a transformation I was just walking in the woods when a mountain lion came out of no where. I was absolutely terrified but I remembered the rules, never run because it will trigger their predatory instincts. Instead, you should stand your ground against a mountain lion. Make yourself as large as possible and make as much noise as possible, and the lion will back off. So that's exactly what I did. However when I did something very strange happened, the roar I made sounded exactly like the roar of a bear. Almost immediately the lion ran off back into the woods. I'd never made a sound that loud. And when I looked down I saw my hands turning into paws and felt myself getting taller. Apparently I transformed into a bear. Thankfully for me I wasn't stuck as a bear, I actually transformed back into myself very quickly but it was scary to say the least.

Have a Hardcore Halloween
For as long as I can remember: Halloween has/is/ and will always be hands down my favorite holiday and in general favorite time of the year. From the costumes, music, parties, cool/cold weather, and the spooky atmosphere I love everything Halloween has to offer. Shame it only comes around once a year. Now we all know the classics for this time of the year. Songs like: Monster Mash, Thriller, This is Halloween, I put a spell on you, etc are all classics. I love them all, however I already know they're going to be discussed to death in general let alone for this challenge. So I decided why not throw in my own choices for songs that can easily become classics give the chance. As always in no particular order.

Retirement
Retirement, what an odd word to be saying this young. I know I've been through a lot over the years. But I feel great, my body feels fantastic and my mind is still sharp as ever. But here we are. Deep in the Washington bush near the Canadian border I have my own little town. I built everything here with my own two hands.

Training in Tibet
"Steady your breathing, concentrate, control your heart rate" my teacher instructs me. I'm seated on top of this frozen pond, in the mountains of Tibet, basically naked, in December. On the outside I'm trying my best to keep my composure, but internally my body is screaming that it's cold. Thanks body, I wasn't aware it would be cold outside today. I'm really trying my hardest to resist shivering. I am the master of my body.

Short story for the green light challenge
"Jordan! Wake your ass up!" I hear from the distance. "What??" I respond back. "Get your shit together, let's go. You're gonna put on a little demonstration today." My superior states. Begrudgingly I head over to my locker and start putting on my flight suit. Let me rewind a little. My name is Hal, I'm a pilot from Coast City. Being a pilot is in my blood, my father was also an astonishing pilot. But: I'm the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be. And yes I stole that line from Bret "The Hitman" Hart. But I don't care, facts are facts. I am that great at my job. Luckily no one here watched professional wrestling growing up.

Revenge is best served literally
Bull vs bear market, shorts, Naked shorts, dark pools, and synthetic shares. It's okay if you don't know what any of these terms mean. Hell I barely did until about a few weeks ago. I'm certainly not a economist or anything like that, I'm a welder. But I always have been interested in all the crazy interesting ways we can make money and even the odds even slightly. I knew money can bring out the worst in people but holy shit did I not realize just how evil money and the pursuit can make people. And of course I know of all the super dark stuff I'd rather not talk about. But what I am talking about is what's considered "white collar crime(s)". Again we all knew they were all liars and cheats, who stepped on a lot of toes and fingers to get to where they are. I know that, I'm not naïve. But finally understanding just how low they sunk of money is just. Wow.

Why we do the things we do, a fictional short story
There really is no way to the feeling describe seeing your own blood being washed off into the drain of a shower. It's still a strange feeling that you never really get used to. My name is Dean. I'm a 20 year veteran of professional wrestling, specializing in death match wrestling. For those of you unfamiliar with death match wrestling. Just take the normal wrestling you've seen on TV but add: barbed wire, light tubes, staple guns, thumb tacks, hell even fire. You name it I've done it or fallen off of/into it. 20 years of sheer pain.

Our first house
I still can't believe we did it, my wife and I really did it. We bought our very first home. Endless hours waiting for the bus, countless hours of overtime and double shifts, refilling ketchup bottles with packets of ketchup we took from McDonald's, and saving all the loose change we could find. We were really stretching every single penny as far as it could go until we could afford to move out of our individual apartments and move in together. Now we're both 30 years old, we met at our job as teachers. I teach economics and she's a fine arts teacher. So much student loan debt, but here we are finally moving in to our first home together.
