Why was HP so good despite being a Horcrux
Nature: Was it just down to genes? Harry Potter was born to parents who were by nature good and kind people. Lily and James Potter fought in the Order of the Pheonix against Death Eaters. This would be risky, they would have seen other members die or be mentally disabled for the rest of their lives - the Longbottoms for example. James Potter was a trusting person, he let Dumbledore borrow his invisibility cloak despite it being a powerful, valuable, and irreplaceable magic item. Lily was a kind person this is evidence in her wanting James to stop his bullying and teasing of Severus Snape. Lily and James were very fond of their friends, risking letting them visit despite the couple being in hiding from Voldermort. They also entrusted their friend Peter Pettigrew to be their secret keeper; this led to the eventual murder of the Potters by Voldermort. James and Lily also made friends with their neighbour Bathilda Bagshot whilst hiding out in Godrics Hollow, a lady much older than the couple. The Potters humouring the seeming ramblings of an old lady spouting mad theories about the Dumbledore family:

Death by baby steps part 3
Statement to my Union Representative Friday 8th December I was asked to lower a blind by a resident as the sun was very low in the sky. I went to lower the blind accidentally knocked over a floor lamp; as the lampstand fell down it fell apart so lampshade, bulb and stand were separate as I went to put the shade back onto the lamp stand I was give an electric shock on my right hand. The electric shock knocked out all the electrical sockets in the immediate area so much so that the fuse board had to be reset. When I was being given them the electric shock I screamed and jumped back and obviously let go, this was witnessed by a carer Maud and several residents. I called down to reception to let them know and to send the maintenance man up to deal with the lamp while I went down to reception to fill out the accident incident Form. Once I pointed out the lamp and told Marcus what had happened he discovered that the lampshade was too tight around the lampstand which pulled off some of the insulation sheathing which is why I got shocked. After this I filled out the form and gave it to the home manager Sienna who didn't even ask me if I was ok, by this time I had pins and needles, numbness and pain in my right hand. Sienna just sign the form and didn't really say anything I was really shocked that none of the three nurses in the building was sent to at least have a look at my hand. I was also expected to continue my shift as normal so I did despite the pain that I'm used to dealing with thanks to my fibromyalgia.

Death by baby steps part 2
Chapter 3 The Beginning Once I got into the role I was mostly left to drift I had a list of minimum requirements and the compulsory education that I had to get through but as for support or being shown what I should and shouldn’t do I was left in the lurch. No one had time for me which overall probably worked in my favour, I could get to know the residents at my own speed, or at least until someone spotted me.

Death by Shuffling Baby Steps
For reasons of confidentiality I have changed names dates and identifiable features of this narrative but all the facts, all the hard truths are true. I have also decided to use a pseudonym in order to protect myself from being sued for publishing this work especially as I probably signed something to say I would keep it to myself but honestly if you’ve been at the local cocktail bar on a staff work night out you would have heard it all anyway warts, fungal feet, massive ball sacks, hairy moles and all.

Mummy Diaries
I cried my eyes out at the thought of losing J, my partner. God that sounds like I’m in a same-sex relationship but honestly boyfriend at the age of 34 sounds awful. It is the first time in months my children have been tender and caring towards me that I can remember. I mean we cuddle and kiss before bed and before school but these are obligatory hugs and expected cwtches (look it up its Welsh).

What would social services have to say about Harry Potter?
This article is written through the lens of social care services as it is today and I will not attempt to conjecture what social services were like during the 1980's and 90's (the time period the books are set). I simply do not have enough information or experience to make an accurate analysis of this. In the 2000’s professionals are much more aware of bullying, the indicators of abuse, and have a lot more information at their fingertips, information about children of concern is more widely and easily shared. Having grown up in the 1980’s and 90’s I may comment on the community and social norms of the time but I do not pretend to know anything about social care services during this period.

Was dumbledores sister a Obscurus?
Albus Dumbledore's Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry had younger siblings called Ariana and Aberforth Dumbledore. Ariana stopped using or letting out her magic due to an incident with some muggle boys when she was 6 years old, this traumatised her from ever using her magic. It is understood that the boys saw Ariana using her magic through the bushes in the garden, the muggle boys attacked Ariana when she couldn't show them how to do the "trick". This attack eventually led to their father (Percival Dumbledore) revenging himself on the muggle boys concerned. This led to Percival's imprisonment in Azkaban for the crime, although it is not entirely clear what Percival Dumbledore did to the muggle boys. Aberforth asserts that Percival attacked the muggles whereas Muriel (Ronald Weasley’s aunt) suggests that he killed the boys.

Di the Book (Part 2)
Dad Ok so I haven't said a great deal about my dad in this so far, that’s probably because when I was six and G was four mum cast him out. Dad went to live at my uncle Tubby's (C's) house where my grandmother also lived. I remember other children at school talking about their weekends with their daddies and how weird it was at home especially when their mummy's got new boyfriends. I had an overwhelming sense of dread when mum said "Your father is going to nannies for a while" - I knew he was never returning. I remember the day like it was yesterday, dad with a bag plodding up the driveway towards his work lorry. The tears starting to sting my eyes as I stared through the net curtains, not really believing what I was seeing. Why didn’t he fight for us? When do we get to see him? Why cant I go too? Why didn’t mum love him anymore? Was it dad not loving us anymore?

Di the Book
Introduction Well I have always been told I should write a book about my life, or more accurately, "Gosh, you should write a book!" in a sarcastic tone. This sarcastic tone often comes after I have spilled great amounts of personal shit all over the floor in front of them or bared my soul like some sort of over emotional flasher—a weird oxymoron to behold I am sure. I tend to have to explain the whole story, I feel I have to start from the beginning or give the full story because otherwise I come off as even more of a psycho than I already do. I am sure this pattern is portrayed in the below sufficiently.

11 Things to Know About Care Homes
I worked as a care worker and activities manager for a elder care home for over a year. I saw both sides of life for my residents and even comforted the families who were torn to pieces because their relative didn't remember them anymore.
