Denise Willis
Bio
I love art as much as writing, and when the world feels dark, I get out my paper and colored pencils and draw while listening to music. When my husband and I were going through a divorce, journaling is what got me through that..

Dementia, the Cruel Killer
Rumor had it that he was the angel of death. All the ladies who wore tight, white or silver curls delivered to them in the beauty shop were convinced he was the angel of death. He came to work each day wearing his outfit, scrubs that were a slightly different color. That was their first clue and then the last two times somebody passed away, he was seen entering their room—only minutes before their death.

Taking the Time
Jaylyn Andrews walked slowly along the sidewalk in the park with her head lowered. There was a cold breeze from the north and it only served to make her mood even worse. Today would be her last day on earth she decided, and tomorrow she would be free from all worries and expectations. Tomorrow maybe people would remember who she was and how they left her alone with her misery and never tried to help.

The Day My Friend Died
I met him through a friend, and at first, he rather intimidated me. He was at least 6'3" and built well. He had the most beautiful blue eyes that sparkled when he talked and laughed. He always had a smile on his face for me, and I felt the same way inside. His name was Brian.

The Day I Died
The day was perfect. The sun was shining and the birds singing while the wind had finally settled down. My roommate, Amy, and I were driving to town and singing along to the radio when I rounded a corner and immediately saw a car coming right at me, passing on a curve, and then he swerved to avoid me but hit the car behind him, spinning it around until it hit our car. The impact tossed our car and it rolled three times before coming to a stop off the side of the road.
