Bio
I love art as much as writing, and when the world feels dark, I get out my paper and colored pencils and draw while listening to music. When my husband and I were going through a divorce, journaling is what got me through that..

Virtual Learning for Children and Young Adults.
How long is a child's attention span? According to developmental and childhood experts, a reasonable amount of time that is within a normal range for a typical child, is two to three minutes, per each year of their physical age. So, if a child is six years old, that would be six times two, which is twelve minutes, or six times three, which is eighteen minutes that a child can maintain focus on a task.

Can You Spare A Dime?
The United States is the richest nation in the world, and yet the above picture portrays the way many of our citizens are living. Especially our veterans. It never made any sense to me that we as a nation could send all sorts of money to other countries to help their people, but couldn't do anything to help the people here at home who needed it just as badly. Charity begins at home.

Is Orange A Good Color For You?
Dear Mr. Trump: I can only imagine the embarrassment you must be feeling after not only losing the election, but for being impeached for your part in the insurgence at the Capital last weekend. But then, you do not feel the same emotions as most people feel, and that is obvious from your behavior over the past four years.

Please Don't Hurt Me
His name was Keith Bridden, with eyes so blue that they sparkled and thick, dark hair. I watched him for days while I worked as a cocktail waitress, trying not to be too obvious, but noticed he was smiling at me every time I looked his way. He'd noticed, and my heart skipped a beat in my chest just imagining what it would be like to touch him.

Peppermint and Chocoate
The anticipation was the best part of my mother's weekly surprise for us. She would bake a cake, not just a cake, but a special cake each Saturday afternoon for my sister and myself. Oh, they were marvelous. One week she baked a cake with M & Ms stuck on the frosting, and one week she made a cake with a big clown on the top, but there was one cake that stole my heart. It was a Hershey's cocoa cake recipe from the can, and the icing recipe was there as well. It was so rich and chocolaty, but the thing that made it so special were the peppermint candies she would crush and put on top of the cake.

What Color Are Your Glasses Today?
Patty watched as Sally skipped down the path, and patiently waited for her to get closer. When she did, Patty got up and began skipping next to her. Sally had thick curly hair so her face was not seen very well, and because Patty was curious about the day, she asked Sally what color glasses she was wearing. Sally slowed down and turned toward Patty with a big smile on her face. I am wearing rose colored glasses today, Patty, so take a big breath and smile! Then Sally went skipping along on her own way while Patty stood there and tried to figure out what Sally had meant.

We all want to look our best, flaunting thick hair, clear, pore-free skin without any wrinkles. We long to have thin hips, a small waist and breasts that are high and firm. But, unfortunately most of us are stuck with a less than perfect face and body. Time limitations, work, family obligations, and little time for ourselves causes stress which shows on our faces and bodies. We get bellies in the front and big, round butts in the back from too much sitting in a day. Cellulite begins to form everywhere and it is hard to get rid of once it's there. The skin on our faces is sallow and drawn. Lines begin to form around our eyes and mouth. Either dark circles or puffiness starts to blur the beauty that was once your eyes.

Cinderella and the Cruise
My mother and I referred to him, my partner Ethan, as "disco Danny" because he always wore the traditional disco clothes and thought he was John Travolta. He was very full of himself, and when we would go out dancing together his favorite thing to do was find a pretty girl in the crowd and then inform me he should be with her. I wasn't allowed to drive, take the bus, work, and when I went to the store I had to give him the receipt and change and it better all be there.

124 Christa Drive
The clock chimed ten times and I knew by the late hour that my husband, Eddy, would not be home until very late, and most likely a bit inebriated from a long evening of drinking. It worried me when he drank and drove home, but he ignored my fears and kept doing it. My computer dinged and I looked down to see a little figure bent over with laughter. It was my online friend, Jesse, and he was my constant companion in the evenings lately. Eddy would leave for the lodge right after dinner and once I did the dishes and settled in for the night, Jesse and I would talk until we were both tired.
