Haven’s Peak Anthologies: Left Behind
I was once surrounded by so many others. They say we were trapped but I didn’t feel trapped, in fact for once in my life I felt connected to everyone else. I remember a time when I was on my own, a time where all that I was depended on what others thought of me. I was trapped then, waiting for someone to free me and take me with them. Then, one day, I woke up here. I must have been freed in my sleep as now I had a family, friends and a place where I belonged. Although, not everyone believed that this was freedom like me. In fact many believed we were stuck here forever. I didn’t believe them though. There was so many interesting people in our little town. There was the drunk who I got told to never talk to, the mayor who ran for every election even when it wasn’t election time and then there was my best friend. He was so cool. He always wore shades and said that life was a rollercoaster. I had never been on a rollercoaster but I always imagine he meant it was so much fun. We lived happily here.

Haven’s Peak Anthologies: Her Name on the Wind
Day 1 My dearest Aoife, I hope this letter finds you well. I have recently become betrothed to a loyal man named Finneas. I am utterly smitten with him, dear sister. However, as you travel from Dublin to Belfast, I have some upsetting news for you. Finneas has been hired as the head carpenter for an expedition to the Isle of Haven’s Peak. It is upsetting because it means that I am leaving you before you return. I am excited for my prospects on the Isle. Hopefully, Finneas plans to build the church after our home is built so that we can be married. When that happens I will send out an invitation for you to join us on our special day. I will write again once we have settled in and the postal service has begun on the Isle and across the sea. For now my dearest sister, Bon voyage as they say. E.

Haven’s Peak Anthologies: Beneath The Pier
Have you ever felt like you’re always to blame for everything? Like even if you weren’t anywhere near it’s your fault. Well that’s what being a seventeen year old on Haven’s Peak is like. There are five of us and we are the only teens in our small village. Let me tell you a little about me and my friends. First, there is Benji. Benji is a tall muscled guy. He has short brown hair and deep blue eyes and that’s all we should know about him. His girlfriend is Fiona. Fiona is like the perfect Barbie girl, with big eyes and bigger dreams of leaving this place. Then we have Gerty. Gerty is our resident goth. Dark clothing, dark make up and more into the occult that anyone else in the village. Oh, and she prefers to be called Gaia. Next we have Winn. We is the most recent of the teens. He moved about a year ago from America with his dad who studied plants. Finally, there is me. I’m Harley. I think I’m ordinary especially when the others compare me to my comic book counterpart Ms Quinn but I don’t mind, compared to the others there’s nothing wrong with being ordinary. Ordinary is great.

Haven’s Peak Anthologies: The Lighthouse Keeper
The black spot. A way to communicate a death sentence sent by pirates. Whomever receives the black spot is doomed to be hunted down until their end. Or at least that’s what Seamus Malloy believed from reading in his latest book Treasure Island. Seamus adored reading but it was the only past time he had being the only human inhabitant of Haven’s Peak and the lighthouse. Seamus lived in the lighthouse alone with the only company being his carrier pigeons, the mail they bring and his books that he gets once every three months when a ship turns up for resupply. He wasn’t much of a people person and had jumped at the first opportunity to live in and run the newly built Lighthouse on Haven’s Peak. Even the rumours of death and curses couldn’t stop him from his isolation and from slowly building his dream library. He knew that by working as the lighthouse keeper he’d get silence and free food and living quarters. He also knew that his job was to be easy. This was the first lighthouse built to test whether you needed to go to the top of the building to light it, and Seamus was more than happy that it actually worked. He could stay in his cosy library/bedroom and all he had to do was turn a switch in the room at the right time each night, and he was always punctual. But that was the job and Seamus Malloy was Haven’s Peaks’ first lighthouse keeper.

Portfolio Part 1
Hello there world, it’s DeeJayKay here and I’ve decided that whilst at minimum I want to post a part of my story once a month, I do want to post a little more. So I’ve decided to do a Portfolio series. This is where I post some of my old written creations; they maybe be plays, short stories, poems or lyrics. In the first part of each segment, I plan on showing the unedited original version and I’ll go into the background of it to give a behind the scenes look at when I was written it. Then the following part will be an improved version of the original. When I say improved I mean that I plan on either re-creating it in a new format so a play to a prose or a poem to a play etc. If I don’t recreating then I will edit, slightly alter and possibly expand on them to showcase how I’ve changed from when I originally wrote it to where I am now, along with giving me more writing outputs.

The Blue Queen (Part 5)
Ciara paced up and down waiting for her back up to arrive when she noticed the adze moving his fingers. She stormed up to him. “Don’t even think about it,” she spat. She place her foot on the handle of Hope’s Glory and heard him wince in pain. “Wait,” he announced, “please stop let me tell you what I know. Lean in for I am weak.” She removed her foot but held her position, refusing to lean in. “I’m not falling for that. Out with it,” Ciara spoke.

The Blue Queen (Part 4)
Ciara had noticed nothing suspicious around the area of the Inferno's Night. She began to make her way inside, and stared at the long queue that waited to get in. They moaned as she walked straight to the front, and saw Jimmy the bouncer nod at her. He unhooked the velvet rope, and let her straight in. She walked to the bar and took her jacket off.

The Blue Queen (Part 3)
Ciara arrived to the facility in record time. She could never get used to the building she had to report to since she had started. The Hidden Haven as it had been known to be called was a Hunter facility built next to an abandoned subway. It was mostly underground but had emergency exits in a pub nearby called The Golden Horseshoe, a strictly Hunter-only joint. As she walked down the grimy steps she was met by the usual guard. She was never told his name, and when she had tried to ask, he shooed her away. She pitied the guards that worked here, as they had to appear to be homeless seeking shelter in the abandoned subway, and had to make sure normals didn't make their way to the entrance. She waved to the guard who nodded as she walked down the tracks, and to a panel hidden by some undergrowth. She hated touching the undergrowth, as it was always freshly put there, but she placed her hand on the panel and spoke clearly, "Domino entering the boneyard." Every agent of the Hidden Haven had their own code phrase. Something linked to their ID, and recognised only in their voice. The Hunter Society had built this so that no one could enter unauthorised. Ciara heard the gears to the door shift, and a hole in the wall appeared. Now was for phase two. She walked in, and the door shut behind her. She was in darkness for a moment before the room lit up with lights. The light flickered all over her, and she knew the scanner was almost done. It was a specially designed scanning system that scanned your blood, and the DNA in it. There were many beings in this world like Changelings or Shapeshifting Mystics that could replicate everything except the inside of the body; the blood could not be changed. She waited a moment as a red light shone in the corner, it turned green, and another door slid open. "Welcome Agent Domino," a female voice announced. It was the automated system. Ciara had always thought it was an artificial intelligence, but was always explained it was just a voice programmed to answer. "I need access to my room, and my supplies, and don't tell The Control I'm here," Ciara announced as she walked down a corridor.

The Blue Queen (Part 2)
Chapter 1 - Frost (Part 1) To the human eye, Ciara Frost was ordinary, except with an alternative sense of style. She had to admit as she walked down the street with people staring that her look didn't lead to blending in much. She wasn't a tall girl, but most human girls weren't.

The Blue Queen (Part 1)
For those who are reading this, my name is Ciara Frost. That is pronounced Key-ara, I don't like it when people get my name wrong. I am Agent Domino, a classified agent within the Hunter Society. You won't know what that is though. There are a few things you may need to know before you read what happened, a few things about the world that we live in. Where to stat? How about I explain what the Hunter Society is? There are normal humans out there, almost like yourself, and then there are people like me. We have abilities, enhancements, that mean we can fight threats that ordinary people can't. We are the elite people of the world that fight Immortal criminals of this world. You might think you know what immortal means, because you know about the story of Dracula or studied all about the myths and legends gone by; it is not what you think though. Everything supernatural, weird, and made in a fantasy land exists or existed, well almost everything. Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Ghosts and all other monsters from those tales are real. Except that they aren't monsters, well not all of them, most of them are people; people who are different and most who just want a normal life even if that normal life usually lasts around a thousand years rather than eighty to a hundred. Enough about that, that is the basics, I'm sure you'll find out more.
