As I crept closer to the crevice, I knew that a giant orc was waiting on the other side. He was much stronger than me and my puny bow, but I was hoping to get lucky with a headshot. I peeked around the corner and tried to aim without aggroing the beast when…

How My Dream of Olympic Competition Was Lost in 38 Seconds
I had a plan. It wasn’t a great plan, but a plan nonetheless. I was going to break 2:50 in the New Orleans Marathon and qualify for Boston. If I made it, I was going to hire a coach to train me for Boston with hopes of breaking 2:22 for an Olympic Trials qualifying time. The Refrigerator
The light suddenly came on, and Heinz stood proud and tall, hoping to be noticed, hoping to be the one chosen for the mission, whatever it was. We need to ascertain our primary course of engagement in the pursuit of the communal objective.” “Yeah, and we also need to figure out what do next,” added Perrins.

The Delicate Balancing Act of Covid-19 Vaccines
As vaccinations roll out by the tens of thousands to every state in the country, fearful citizens are lining up at clinics and spamming the refresh button on web sites. Demand is far outreaching supply at this point, and that will only continue unless the public loses trust in the vaccine or until the majority of the country is immunized. It may be months before it is known how effective the Covid-19 vaccine is, but side effects are already showing up.

Do People Know You Are a Photographer?Top Story - January 2021
I’m not talking about full-time professionals with a studio or a wedding photographer. I’m talking about part-timers or stock or nature photographers that do most work in private and isolated from the public. I try to always have business cards on hand, and I’ve covered my office walls with my work, to create a conversation about my photography. But how many casual acquaintances know that photography is a craft and business that I am pursuing?
