Anyone else have this problem with Marvel's What If...?
Y'all been watching What If? There's a few episodes out so far, all taking place in different parallel versions of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, telling new alternate stories, and for the most part I've enjoyed them. However, there's one element of the show that I find oddly distracting. I'm not sure if anyone else has felt this way, but when I've been watching the show, I can't stop thinking about the casting.

Watching 'The Crown' to Prepare for the Megan Markle Season
So the Queen’s cousin, Prince Philip died recently, and there was all that drama about Megan Markle a little while ago, which got me thinking; It feels like we’re in the final season of Netflix’s The Crown right now. And that made me curious to catch up on the series. I was also really curious to see season 4, because I knew from the trailers that’s when they introduced both Margret Thatcher, and Princess Diana, both important historical figures that I know of, but don’t know a whole lot about. So I thought I’d give the show a try and watch the first couple episodes and see what I thought. Turns out, I liked it. So I watched the whole thing.

Skyward Sword is Good Actually
Should you get the Skyward Sword HD remake? I don’t know. I want to, but I don't know if I can justify paying $80 for a game I already own. Skyward Sword was my first Zelda game, and so it holds a special place in my heart, but I don’t know that I can go back to it, especially after Breath of the Wild. But let's get into some of the specifics.

The Sound of the Best Musical
The Sound of Music is the best musical because it's actually about music. So I don’t really like musicals that much. I have a hard time getting over the whole, characters randomly bursting into song for no reason, thing. But The Sound of Music does something really interesting with the music that I think justifies the genre more than any other movie musical.

Nicktoons Video Games
Heard of The Avengers? Fuck that! This is the greatest crossover event in history. As a child of the early 2000s the Nicktoons Unite games were the coolest thing ever. A game series bringing together the biggest Nickelodeon characters of the time, SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, Timmy Turner, and ya boi, Daniel Phantom. They did a whole bunch of these, and today I want to talk about them. This era was an interesting time, where there was a lot of cross platform licensed games, often from different developers. I decided to play through all the GBA versions of these Nickelodeon classics. Why not play the console versions that have actual cutscenes and voice acting that is probably better content to talk about? Because I didn’t play those versions when I was a kid! This is what I could afford, so shut up!

The NOT Indiana Jones Collection
The late 90s-early 2000s were an interesting time. We already got a Star Wars revival in the prequels, and so I feel that there was this Indiana Jones void waiting to be filled. The world was ready for another classic feeling adventure movie. And so we got what I call "The NOT Indiana Jones Collection." A series of mostly unrelated movies that attempted to recapture that Indy/adventure serial energy.

Spongebob: The New Spongebob Movie is the worst thing in 2020 since the Coronavirus
Spongebob: The New Spongebob Movie is the worst thing to happen to 2020 since the coronavirus. This movie was so bad it made me wish that movie theatres remained closed, and it made me reconsider if they should ever reopen if this is the kind of shit Hollywood passes off as a movie nowadays.

Star Wars, Disney +, and is anyone else sick of Ahsoka?
Disney + is still kinda bad. The Mandalorian is good. But The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker confirmed my suspicion that Star Wars has been a dead brand since 1983. The best idea in the entire series from the last 30 years, (aside from the holy 2003 Clone Wars miniseries of course), is that time they brought back Darth Maul with spider legs. So yeah, the bar was extremely low, and The Mandalorian didn’t have to do a lot to be a hit. It’s refreshingly good. It’s simple, it’s a space western, and it makes good Star Wars look easy.

I Am Not Okay With 'I Am Not Okay With This'
I Am Not Okay With This is the hot new Netflix series capitalizing on the success of Stranger Things staring that one girl from IT and that one boy from IT that was also in Guardians of the Galaxy. It is essentially a remake of a Steven King property, but I can't say which one without spoiling the entire plot. So this is your spoiler warning.
