Symbiote Chapter 6
Hanover and some other techs are tasked with proving a problem with the radar exists, much to Hanover's disdain. The radar equipment room of the Tesla was full of towers containing the circuitry that made the radars work. The racks and high-powered air conditioning made it feel like an ice maze. Hanover and 2 other ETs, ET3 Parker and ETSN Cain, prepared to first prove a flaw, and secondly to do a few PMs on the equipment

Symbiote Chapter 5
This was a day long in coming. This was the day that cadets miraculously became soldiers. This was pass and review, when the greatest warriors would stand before their charges and take the oath to defend their worlds from all that would threaten them. They had trained for years to harness their abilities, getting worshiped for their abilities was just a fringe benefit, and an awesome one at that; just like living forever. Granted, everything that lived could get killed, but for them there were no "natural" causes.

Symbiote Chapter 4
Dawn spread serenely across the waters of Kittery. As the shift from nocturne roused the weary souls of Tesla’s crew, Vanessa sat by herself in the furthest corner of the mess decks as possible from everyone else. As she poked at her burnt bacon and eggs, reveille sounded. Slowly the chamber filled with personnel, all grumbling and complaining, but still in groups, after all a bitch’n sailor is a happy sailor. The few times she did look up, she had a snarl on her face: the others, milling, talking, laughing, Vanessa hated them all. It was so horrible to be the one with unrequited love.

Symbiote Chapter 3
The office of the Minister of War was spartan and utilitarian, as was befitting a high level Bruish bureaucrat. Though they felt no need for any kind of decoration, visiting dignitaries of other species were more comfortable when there was at least a wall pick. Since they could care less either way, there were some picks. All the wall displays were neutral nature scenes from their home world: a jungle moon orbiting a gas supergiant in a binary star system, with one spectral “M” red giant and one “F” type main sequence. Though the scenes were as varied as jungles could be, there were no depictions of animals. The few furnishings in the barren, sad, cold, space, were cold metal and near unbreakable glass.

A Primer for Dark System
Astronomy tells us that planets orbit stars, stars hang out in clusters and these clusters orbit the supermassive black hole in the center of the galaxy, and the galaxy is zooming away from some center, some big bang. These same astronomers say that, at times, planets are kicked out of their family systems to travel the dark alone. What if some of these outcasts formed their own system? These dark systems would be near impossible to detect with our current tech, but we couldn’t travel there anyway…

A Primer for Symbiote
One of the most powerful, technologically and biologically advanced super weapons has been stolen from a secure research station and tracked to a third rate, backwater world at the edge of explored space overrun by bloodthirsty savages. If this news were to escape to the general public, the repercussions could be just as disastrous as the enemy getting a hold of the weapon. A select group of specially trained elite is chosen to find and return the weapon, before it’s too late. The fate of the galaxy, its very future, rests squarely at the feet of these five teachers, what could go wrong?

A Primer for Modern Mancy
In the world of Escotera, the dominant force, The Central Empire, mostly ignores the rest of the continent (the only one known). Inside the Empire peace and prosperity rein, research into every aspect of science and technology has accelerated their knowledge far beyond the rest of the world. The government mostly lets the people be, so long as they are not threatened. Beyond the borders, it is wild and untamed, mysticism reins, small bands of self-reliant Prides, and buccaneering packs keep things… interesting.

Symbiote Chapter 2
Nighttime at Kittery naval ship yard was always a pain, but even more so when one drew the mid-watch. At night nothing happened. The silence was so deafening many had gone mad. This night, not even a breeze wished to stir. The ever present 10 pound seagulls had long since retired for the evening, their source of food, scraps from shipyard workers, never worked past sundown. The birds just nested in the cranes or floated sound asleep on the water.

Dyson Trio pt 1
“What in the name of, what happened?” Groaned Alexander as he came too and rubbed the temples of his pounding head. Lying on his right side, facing a wall, all he saw as he moved to a sitting position was a smooth blue white ceramic surface. He knew there were others in the room, but as they currently didn’t appear threatening, he focused on where he was. So far there was nothing that appeared helpful.
