Summer Under the Clouds
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. It had been that way for as long as Chase could remember. And every night since he'd been staying here at Grandpa's, the two of them had lain on their backs here on the warm, asphalt-shingled roof, watching the softly glowing spectacle.

A Wedding Toast from the Father of the Bride
One of my daughter's lifelong curses is having a dad who thinks he's a writer. That being the case, when the first hint of her (second) wedding came up, this old fart had to start writing a toast to be given on the day. As it turned out, they eloped, with only a couple of friends in attendance, so I never got to recite it. Some people's kids!

Dark Enough
I rarely write much about my photos, because I prefer to let them speak for themselves. I'm making an exception for this one because it holds very special meaning for me and I'd like to pass on what it taught me – and how - to anyone that may take the time to read this.
