Sorry Reagan, I Gotta Vote Democrat
Since before I was old enough to vote, I have been a conservative Republican. I worked Ronald Reagan's presidential campaign while still in high school doing everything from knocking on doors, working the phone bank, and compiling voter data. It was incredible. Equally important, it was a victory!

Out with the Old...in with the New
Just two months ago there was a Beltway rumor that US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was about to quit or be fired. The White House denied it. Tillerson denied it. The State Department feigned ignorance on the issue. Still, most people believed that the former Exxon Mobil CEO's days were numbered at Foggy Bottom.

Trump 2020
Write this down on your calendar: Donald Trump did NOT fly to Mar-A-Lago this past weekend. Instead, he ventured to Pennsylvania to hold a campaign rally for his 2020 re-election campaign. One year into his presidency, and Trump is already actively campaigning for another term.

Unknown Unknowns
Let me get this straight. The American president and the North Korean dictator are going to sit down across from one another in May. Until then, North Korea promises no more missile launches or nuclear tests. If ever there was an example of a KNOWN UNKNOWN, this meeting will definitely be one of them.

NASCAR #22 Joey Logano
This is my sixth season following NASCAR, so I'm definitely considered to be a new fan of America's racing sport. What amazes me about NASCAR fans is the passion they all have for their favorite driver or drivers. I laughed about it in the first year I watched the races, but then quickly discovered that I was drawn into that same passionate frenzy that other fans share.

Two Ways for Quick Extra Money

Winter Living in an RV
Living in a recreational vehicle or camper during the cold winter months poses unique challenges for even the most experienced outdoor hobbyist. Keeping warm and living comfortably isn't as easy as turning on the furnace and heating up the inside living spaces.

What Retirement Fund?
I'm not alone when it comes to worrying about my retirement accounts. Unlike many people in their 20s, I actually did begin saving for retirement at a young age. I didn't do so well with it in my early 30s, but rebounded around age 35. I had a nice nest egg—a good start that I could continue to add to until I needed to begin withdrawing it.

My Friend Died
For the past few weeks I've been experiencing an incredibly weird sleeping pattern. I can't seem to stay awake much past 8 p.m., then I find myself wide awake around 2 a.m. That schedule makes for an agonizingly long work day, which exacerbates my weird sleeping pattern even further. Last week, I woke up at 1 a.m. and couldn't fall back asleep. I grabbed my cell phone to play a few games of Word for Friends, but unconsciously opened Facebook instead. There a strange post drew my attention.

The Trump PhenomenonTop Story - February 2018
It has been a fascinating case study for a political science major like me. I have been involved in politics at all levels all since high school. The first campaign I worked on was Ronald Reagan's presidential run in 1980. As a high school senior I had the opportunity to see how presidential politics and local politicians blend together to build a winning team. Needless to say, the current occupant of the White House has stymied me.
