My Love of Al Wissam Leather Jackets
Al Wissam is a clothing designer brand based in Detroit that has some of the most beautiful jackets you’ll ever see in your life. Though mostly only Detroiters wear them they can be purchased online by anybody that wants to buy one. Al Wissam is the Rolls Royce of leather jackets from the slick one-of-one designs to the multi-colored stitching and exclusive price tag. This kind of quality doesn’t come cheap and you get what you pay for in life and leather jackets are no different. I started my journey with the brand in 2003 and I’ve been hooked ever since. Women in particular love these jackets they can’t help but touch them in admiration it’s like they have a love spell on them or something.

If This Then That: Pretty Woman
If you love “Indecent Proposal” another great movie you must see “Pretty Woman.” David Murphy (Woody Harrelson) convinced his wife to sleep with a wealthy businessman and he also loss the woman he loved the most for a while. The movies are similar but in my opinion “Pretty Woman” is the best romance movie for how it changed the general public’s view on sex workers and it made sex workers understandable and lovable. While indecent proposal was darker it did not make it a better film in my opinion. But it had all the variables to create the classic romance story that it is.

If This Then That: Pretty Woman
Every great love story must have relatability, comedy, a tragedy, turmoil, and intense intimacy with the main characters or anyone who is an essential part of the movie. Pretty woman is the ideal love story because it had all of that and more. The story is sort of a Cinderella framed novelty with a twist. The best romances stories also come with challenges that require great sacrifice. The challenges thicken the plot and build excitement this keeps the viewers engaged minimizing the chances of people getting bored or falling asleep. Also a happy ending is the icing on the cake of all romance movies.

Detroit’s First Black Godfather “Eddie Wingate Sr.”
Eddie Wingate Jr. was born November 13, 1919 in Moultrie, Georgia. He’s the eldest brother of James, Sonny, Lawrence, Corrine, and Johnny Wingate. Early on in his life things were tough growing up in the Jim Crow Georgia where black people were killed at will. They were by no means rich but they were a strong family. Eddie didn’t speak of his parents much he only spoke of them with his family. During his teenage years there was a rich white man that owned the farm ranch he on Eddie saw him working and he approached him for a job on his farm and it was just Eddie’s luck he ironically needed a field hand to pick cotton and to chop hickory wood all afternoon until night time for $2 per day. The white farmer was rich he could have paid much more. But in the early 1930s went a long way just not long enough. Eddie had quit school to work so the house would have another revenue stream coming in constantly. He worked and worked for little to nothing until he heard about how all these black people were moving to Detroit to work in the plant. The people made it a legend in Moultrie they said “Detroit is where black folks go to get rich or at least come close to it.” Eddie’s ears burned listening to the old timers talk then he decided that he had to go and see about all this black prosperity for himself. So in the late 1930s he took every dime that he had drove his rundown Ford to Detroit.

Jay-Z: The One Who Made You Want More 💰
Jay-Z like most of the black men forced to rise from the hopeless living circumstances of the America’s ghettos has a compelling story. Not only did he escape a life of crime and poverty he literally became a billionaire, philanthropist, A-list socialite, record mogul, corporate executive, and king maker in the process. I’ve been inspired by Jay-Z the entire time he’s been in the mainstream. Ever since I bought his first album “Reasonable Doubt“ back in the summer of 1996 from “Damon’s records” on Plymouth rd Damon’s records was a legendary black-owned record store located on Detroit’s westside.

What Joe Louis’s Monument Means to Detroit My Hometown
In the time of “Joe Louis” “Black America” was in one of it’s most pivotal and uncomfortable positions it’s ever been in since slavery. The German Boxer “Max Schmeling” was the reigning heavyweight champion of the world and he was also the face of the Nazi party’s white supremacy ideology. He exemplified that the aryan nation’s “pure white blood” made them superior to all men in every way. Or at least they thought so until that whole theory came tumbling down soon. Joe Louis was already a great fighter but he hadn’t been properly anointed to be the representative of blacks in America as a whole until the Schmeling fight. Max Schmeling had one purpose for his career and that was to uphold the ideologies of the Nazi party he was forced to do so. Schmeling himself was never a Nazi. The Nazis were certain that aryan “pure white blood” made them unbeatable.

The Robbery Gone Wrong Took My Wife But It Saved MY Family
Ryan is a down on his luck good hearted square by the book type of guy. He’s an MBA but in his youth he was not so wise and got into trouble with the law and earned himself a felony and it’s hindered his financial status dramatically but he’s making it comfortably but he is not content. He stays optimistic and Ryan often says to himself “if I could just get $20,000 at one time I could start a whole new life.” I’d be able to put a nice down payment on house and start a pop-up restaurant with cannabis themed food. As Ryan is thinking and talking out loud walking to his car he noticed a man laying down on bleeding badly in the street. Ryan then runs over to the unknown man bleeding in the street.
