A hidden gem high above, Cloud City is a marvelous feat of engineering and innovation, especially in the lore of George Lucas's Star Wars saga. Completely manmade and able to be suspended midair through an anti-gravity pod, Cloud City has its share of interesting factoids. Soaring in the Outer Rim, Cloud City may not get as much screen time as Tatooine or the Republic, but Cloud City deserves some recognition and attention in the Star Wars canon and universe.

'Tales Of The Jedi' Trailer Breakdown
There's no sign of the Star Wars train slowing down as more and more news pours out of Celebration on the heels of the debut of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Friday. The series, dubbed Tales of the Jedi, will follow the stories of several prequel-era Jedi including Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, young Padawan Qui-Gon Jinn and his Master, Jedi Knight Dooku. The 6-part series will debut on Disney+ in Autumn of this year.

Top 10 Creatures In The 'Star Wars' Universe
The Star Wars universe hosts some of the most amazing creatures in science fiction. Incredibly talented designers have created a galaxy-worth of creatures contextual to the alien worlds they reside in. My first Star Wars experience was with the prequel trilogy. As such, there were many creatures and aliens from that era that captured my imagination.

Kathleen Kennedy Learned The Wrong Lesson From 'Solo'
Kathleen Kennedy, head of Lucasfilm, said to Vanity Fair, “There should be moments along the way when you learn things.” Usually, that would be an excellent way to live, being open to lessons along the way. It’s a problem, though, when people learn the wrong lessons. The lesson Kennedy is talking about here is why she thinks the standalone Star Wars film Solo: A Star Wars Story did relatively poorly at the box office. She says the problem with the movie was that they recast the role of Han Solo.

Star Wars | Who Exactly Were The Trade Federation?
The trade federation was an essential organism in the Prequel Trilogy. It was a vastly different enemy from the Empire and the stormtroopers of the Original Trilogy, and it was what brought something different to those films. It played a key role in the unfolding events of Episodes I, II, and III, serving as a manipulative element of Chancellor Palpatine, also known as Darth Sidious, for his final plan of Order 66 and the transformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire. Once the plan was completed, the Federation was stripped of all power and ceased to exist as such, annexing itself to the Empire. However, it already had its history, existing long before the events of The Phantom Menace.

General Grievous | The History Of The Kaleesh War Lord
General Grievous was a memorable character from the moment he was introduced. The cyborg was an odd mix of organic and robot with little explanation of how he came to be. He was shown to be smart and extremely powerful in a fight, with a strong vendetta against the Republic. Grievous fought loyally for the Separatists until his death at the hands of the Jedi. His history isn’t so widely known, so let’s start at a time when the full concept of Grievous didn’t exist.

Padme Amidala | The History Of A Queen
One of the most unsettling scenes for me, and I’m sure for many others, in the Star Wars saga was the death of Padmé Amidala during the events of Revenge of the Sith. The cause of her death has remained an active topic of debate and speculation among fans for a long time. However, in the movie, it was stated that Padmé had “lost the will to live” and died of a broken heart. In her own words, Anakin Skywalker’s fall to the dark side broke her heart.

The History Behind One Of The Most Revered Jedi To Ever Live
Mace Windu was one of the most revered Force sensitive humans. He possessed a power known as shatterpoint. Shatterpoint was a unique power for Jedi and this power allowed Windu to recognize vulnerabilities in objects via the Force and then exploit them using the shatterpoint ability. Mace Windu was able to recognize weaknesses in objects and structures surrounding him and people as well. This unique power made Mace Windu an exceptionally dangerous foe in battle. Besides this shatterpoint power, Mace Windu possessed the gift of foresight, where he had many glimpses of the future where he envisioned himself wielding a purple-bladed lightsaber.
