Chadwick Boseman Reportedly Recorded Lines for Marvel Studios' Animated Anthology 'What If...?'
The death of Marvel Studios star Chadwick Boseman shook the world. His unexpected death at the age of 43 from colon cancer, something that many people did not even know he was facing, caused a shockwave of disbelief, heartbreak, and tragedy. He had several major roles (such as Jackie Robinson in the baseball biopic 42), but to most people, he will always be the powerful ruler T'challa, also known as Black Panther, of the fictional country Wakanda.

'Black Widow' Trailer Re-Released With November Release Date In Front Of 'The New Mutants'
Since her first appearance, Black Widow (her real name being Natasha Romanoff) has been one of the more popular characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The portrayal of the character by Academy Award-nominated actress Scarlett Johansson helped her keep up with the heavy hitters in the series such as Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. A standalone film for her has been known to be in the works for several years now, which is especially nice for fans of her, given her death in Avengers: Endgame. With Phase 4 of the Marvel movies now coming out, we will be able to get a good look at more of the character traits and motivations only vaguely hinted at in the other Avengers films.

'Star Wars: The High Republic' Concept Art Reveals A Younger Yoda
As the Star Wars universe has expanded (or shrunk once Disney made everything outside of the films and The Clone Wars prior to mid-2014 non-canon, putting them under the Legends umbrella), we get to see more and more backstories for our favorite characters. One might make the argument that we do not need as much backstory as we have gotten. The prequel trilogy has shown that not every question about backstory needs an answer. At the same time, however, it is interesting to see more of the characters we know and love.

'Star Wars: The Lightsaber Collection' Reveals Rey's Yellow-Bladed Lightsaber
The majority of recent stories told within the Star Wars canon have been books and comics. One such example is Thrawn: Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, which was just released by Del Rey. Back in early January of this year, we got the announcement of The High Republic, which will introduce readers to an all-new era set 200 years before the films set within the galaxy far, far away. During the gaps between films and even TV shows, the books have been there for the fans so that they may continue exploring new stories set within the galaxy far, far away. However, we are also getting another type of book that is sure to please readers who want more details on certain weapons that we have seen in the various stories.

Production Of 'The Batman' Halted Temporarily After Positive COVID-19 Test
A couple weekends ago, DC FanDome, a virtual convention, got people more excited for The Batman film starring Robert Pattinson. The casting of this actor was a questionable choice in the eyes of those who only knew him as Edward Cullen from The Twilight Saga. However, more people were won over. Thanks to a teaser trailer that came out of The Batman panel at DC FanDome, enthusiasm over the film rose. The teaser impressed people despite only 25-30% of the film having been shot by then. It also helps that Matt Reeves talked all about what we could expect in this upcoming film, which is more of a detective story than any previous Batman film. We also know that it would take place a year and a half after Batman’s first appearance and sometime during year two of Batman’s career as a crimefighter.

'The Mandalorian' Season 2 Gets Premiere Date And Logo Featuring The Child
“This is the day” is a caption that was a bit confusing at first to some who saw it on Star Wars social media. It is a fun pun playing on the quote "This is the way." At first glance, it might lead a casual observer to believe that season 2 of The Mandalorian dropped today. Of course, this is not the case. Rather, the caption refers to the official announcement of the season 2 premiere date, which has now been revealed to be October 30.

Giancarlo Esposito Talks About 'The Mandalorian' Villain Moff Gideon And Force-Sensitivity
Moff Gideon is one of the more memorable characters on the Star Wars Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Giancarlo Esposito portrayed that villain in such a way where he seems like someone with whom one can try talking things out, but not without sacrificing the air of intimidation that comes through his performance. When season 1 ended with Gideon wielding the Darksaber, viewers’ minds were blown. Those who were familiar with that weapon via its depictions in the animated shows Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels got excited to find out how the Darksaber ended up in Gideon’s hands. The last time that we had seen the weapon was when Sabine Wren, who had stolen it from Maul, gave it to Bo-Katan in the final season of Rebels, which was set a decade before The Mandalorian.
