The series made its debut on Netflix in September 2018 and has gained a loyal following, with some perceiving it as a spiritual successor to the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender. Even setting aside the fact that it was co-created by Avatar: The Last Airbender head writer and executive producer Aaron Ehasz, as well as the fact that Sokka voice actor Jack DeSena voices Callum here, The Dragon Prince has a similar type of humor that complements the fleshed-out world that it inhabits.
