How Legends Can Inspire Post-‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Stories
While the Skywalker Saga is over for now, the characters who take the reins are not done just yet. Rey, Finn, Poe, and Rose still have a chance to take on many adventures. What does their future look like though? What kind of adventures can this new group of heroes have? In many ways, the sky is the limit for them. They can really be anything. So let us take a look at another time not so long ago when a previous group of heroes had the chance to go on all sorts of adventures with limitless possibilities. That of course being characters from the original trilogy Luke, Han, and Leia in the time of the Expanded Universe.

This Prequel Trilogy Fan Theory Predicted Snoke's Backstory
Star Wars fans, myself included, tend to take their love of the franchise to extremes, and that comes in many shapes and sometimes all of them for some fans. You have your collectors who will endlessly search for and gather any memorabilia they can get their hands on. You have fountains of knowledge who know everything and anything about Star Wars and will proudly proclaim they knew the Wookiee homeworld was Kashyyyk before that knowledge had ever been committed to screen. And then there are the theorists who get so hyped for anything Star Wars coming out that they the engage the hyperdrive and start analyzing trailers and any other media for clues about what is to come, forming their own ideas about it as they go. I myself am guilty of all three of these traits I've mentioned. But it is the theorists who have been the fuel for this article.

What Is Balance To The Force?
The Star Wars prequel trilogy introduced the idea of a prophecy of a Chosen One bringing balance to the Force. Throughout that trilogy, the Jedi interpret this as needing to destroy the Sith. In The Force Awakens, we also hear Lor San Tekka say that there can be no balance to the Force without the Jedi. We hear about the prophecy in the prequels, but a fundamental flaw of these films is that the words of the prophecy are not conveyed to the audience. Yoda suggests that the prophecy could have been misread, but we were not told what exactly the prophecy said. Audiences were just told to go along with the idea that Anakin Skywalker, with his high midi-chlorian count and family background that sounds biblical in nature, is the Chosen One. In 2019, however, the novel Master & Apprentice gave us the exact wording of the prophecy:

Was Darth Vader Really Redeemed?
Redemption is a huge theme in Star Wars. Return of the Jedi cemented it via the redemption of Anakin Skywalker, so it has been a staple of the franchise for decades at this point. However, as powerful as the moment when Luke sees his father face to face is, there has long been this lingering thing in people's minds about how Vader killed so many people, including children. The unmasking scene is powerful, but Vader's terrible actions would be so difficult to ignore. For some, it might be easy just because the world is so used to the redemption scene. But if it were anyone else in the real world, it would be difficult for the vast majority of oppressed people to forgive him, even if he turned a new leaf.

Could Padme Have Redeemed Anakin If She Lived Past 'Episode III'
Many people forget that the main reason Anakin Skywalker actually turned to the dark side of the Force was out of pure fear of loosing Padme, just as he lost his mother in Tatooine. The sole mission of Vader, was to become powerful enough so he could stop his wife from dying. Yet that same fear blinded him at the end, and actually led him to essentially kill his own wife before his duel with Obi-Wan in Mustafar.

'The Mandalorian' To Get A Spring 2022 Release?
Since the ending of the second season of The Mandalorian, fans have been waiting with bated breath for both The Book of Boba Fett and season three of The Mandalorian. The season finale teased big things for Din Djarin and Boba Fett at the end of episode, and things have basically been silent on progress for the new season and show. However, if the newly leaked information proves to be true, fans may not have to wait much longer to see the next installments for Boba Fett, Din Djarin, and the rest of Mando’s motley crew.

What If Mace Windu Had Killed Palpatine In ‘Episode III?’
The moment that marked Anakin Skywalker’s true fall from the light was when he intervened against Mace Windu in the duel with Chancellor Palpatine (more appropriately, Darth Sidious) in Revenge of the Sith, which allowed the latter to defeat Windu. Anakin would then pledge himself to the dark side and was thus named Darth Vader. However, one could reasonably speculate on what the outcome would be if Anakin was able to restrain himself, leading Windu to kill the Sith Lord. Below is a likely landscape of the events resulting from the hypothetical death of Palpatine at the hand of Mace Windu.

Who Is REALLY Responsible For All Of The Deaths On Alderaan?
With the destruction of Alderaan, the Empire had hoped to not only strike a terrible blow against the growing Rebel Alliance, but also to send a clear and unmistakable message to all systems and civilizations of the galaxy not to underestimate its power. Little did they know that the eradication of a whole planet would not only strengthen the Rebels’ determination to keep on fighting, but also that their precious deep space battle station would soon be obliterated itself.

Why The Original Trilogy Trio Did Not Fail
Star Wars is no stranger to fan discourse. As a matter of fact, it practically invents fan discourse. The newest cause of argument among fans seemed to be the sequel trilogy. Now that The Rise of Skywalker has been released, fans are quick to point out what they believe to be flaws and continuity issues that sequels create for the larger Star Wars series and universe. One of the big issues that fans often bring up is how the rise of the First Order and the Emperor's return show that Luke, Leia, and Han had failed in the original trilogy. However, I do not think that was necessarily the case.

What Do The Colors Of Lightsabers Really Mean?
Not as clumsy or random as a blaster, an elegant weapon for a more civilized age. The lightsaber is a staple of the Star Wars franchise and the weapon of choice for the Jedi and Sith alike. It has two main components: the hilt and a plasma blade that emits from the hilt upon activating the weapon. At the heart of it all, the kyber crystal, a semi sentient crystal that Jedi would seek out as part of their initiation into the Order. Having a will of their own, the crystals would call out to their eventual owners and bond with them. At which point the crystal would take on the color of the user’s spirit. Each color was unique and represented the kind of Jedi its wielder would be.

For some, Star Wars and Harry Potter will always be tied together because they are two of the most popular franchises to come out. Both are based on Joseph Campbell's “hero's journey” and have many similarities, despite their genre differences. Before delving straight into the comparison between Luke and Harry, let’s look at the similarities and differences between the Force in Star Wars and magic in Harry Potter.

How 'Star Wars: Bounty Hunter' Answered One Of 'Attack Of The Clones' Biggest Questions
Sixteen years after the release of Return of the Jedi, seemingly the final chapter of George Lucas' space opera, he released the first of his prequel trilogy, The Phantom Menace. This new trilogy would focus on a young Anakin Skywalker and map his descent to the dark side of the Force, becoming the villainous Darth Vader. George also used his new trilogy to show us how the Empire and Emperor rose to power, and the tragic near extinction of the Jedi Order, but the new films left fans with some questions as new introductions were made, with very little background.
