It's InterNET Not InterVET
Panic sets in. Your dog is sick. Your cat is making a noise you've never heard before. There's blood coming from somewhere.
Faking A Smile
I learned how to fake a smile when I was two years old and I started dance classes. Spotlight hits you and you show your teeth.
What Is Wrong With My Dog?!
The absolute worst part of being a vet tech is when one of your own pets gets sick. First, all learning and knowledge completely flies out the window and you panic and worry just like any other client.
Vet Tech Initiation
Lately at work, I've been training someone new. It reminds me of my days as a baby tech. Recently I found out there are other vet techs on this platform. The A Day in the Life challenge brought them to my attention and I was pleasantly surprised to find other fellow techs that are also fellow writers.
"I am a pet mom first, a writer second, an animal advocate always... and a vet tech. Everything else just falls into place around me. When it really comes down to it, at the end of my life, if I've made a difference in the lives of animals, I will consider my time on this planet a great success story. Someone write it for me, will ya?" - Courtney Capone
The Fab Five
I met Kara and Sarah when we were all five years old. Katie and Mandy joined us when we were 12 years old and the Fab Five was born.
Anywhere But Here
It's hot and oh so humid, my sinuses in pain From June first straight through November you're in the path of hurricanes It seems it's always raining and the traffic never stops
Two Humans, Seven Animals
That is not actually my chinchilla pictured above but I do have one and I'm relatively sure he wrote that book while I was sleeping.
