Loves Rest
You look so peaceful Annie; I know you're just tired and sleeping it off. I would be doing the same thing if I were you. You look so delicate as if any touch would have you crumble. You're so beautiful with the prettiest blue eyes like blueberries that I could stare at forever. I remember the morning after our wedding night Annie. Do you? You look just as beautiful now as you did then. It let me know that I made the right choice in choosing to give my heart to you.

The Solar Express
He awoke groggy and disoriented, laying on the floor, as if he had been drugged. He instantly reached for his head, still coming out of the induced sleep state he was in. He slowly opened his eyes to find himself on the floor. Upon further inspection, he found himself in a train. The man was confused as to how he had gotten there. There didn’t appear to be other passengers as far as he could tell. At least not in the train car that he was in.

The Deep End
As a cold sweat awakens us in the wee hours of the night, we ask ourselves, “Have I done enough? Have I gotten where I want to be? Have I lived my life to the fullest?” On pops a light and the sobering uneasy feeling sprints into our body like a predator homing in on its prey. When this moment hits us, it is different for us all but yet we all have the same revelations. The “I wish I went here” and “I should’ve done that” creeps up at us ever so silently to take its strike. Now we are thrown into a panic where we cannot be satisfied by our mundane life to which we have slept through thus far. Walking through life like a zombie in a deserted wasteland full of billboards of people parading around actually living a life you think can only happen to anyone but you. The resolution that is ever so rampant is to have some huge expenditure that we knowingly cannot afford just to feel some semblance of the life we wish we could attain and that we feel is out of our grasp. The only problem is this temporary happiness is like eating a rice cake, sweet for a moment but you are left completely unsatisfied. There are 2 possible paths now. We can continue to live our mundane boring life where we feel like we are just on autopilot for everything and never truly take the chance to live our life. The less traveled path is to fight this worrisome issue that plagues most of us all and that is to dive in headfirst and put things at risk so that it makes you squirm and cringe in an uncomfortable panic. Live your life finally. Live it to the fullest and do exactly what you have always dreamt to do. Without this struggle and discomfort trying to live life in a new way, our dream continues to be just something that occurs when we go to sleep at night instead of being the reality in which we hope and pray it to be. The greatest advice one can receive in this scenario when you are unsure what to do is to scare yourself and dive headfirst into the deep end. Sink or swim scenarios can make or break an individual, but if we have never truly lived before, are we really even risking anything?

Will that squirrel in my yard be my friend?
Look at that squirrel as it prances around and jumps through the grass of my yard. Curious you are but for what do you seek? Are you trying to find the nuts you have buried? Perhaps you've forgotten their whereabouts? It's sad to admit that I can be of no help with finding your nuts, but you seem all the kind and can have some of mine. You're always welcome to a taste of my nuts. A delectable crunch and that pleasant aroma as you pop my nuts in your mouth to enjoy. Please, let me share with you squirrel, it would make me the happiest. I have peanuts and cashews, brazil nuts and walnuts, what do you like? Are you a picky little fella? Or are you open to something new? Regardless, let me help. Come inside where its warm. Kick back with your paws up and stay awhile. Please make yourself at home. These are the things I would tell anyone to visit me. All of my friends I treat like this. Would you like to be my friend Mr. Squirrel? Oh, please Mr. Squirrel, would you oh please come inside and out of the cold? I can make you hot chocolate to dampen the chills and warm the soul. I fear you won't come. The snow will be here soon, and I fret you'll be off. You'll leave and go home and try to find all your nuts. Your paws will get cold when you try to find them and then you'll get frustrated if you can't find them. But they'll be buried so deep under that thick layered snow that you'd be digging for days at least just to find them. The perfect type of snow for snowballs, you might never get through. Maybe we can make an igloo together instead? I have always wanted to make an igloo with my friends and relax in it. Enjoy it while the cold weather lasts and keeps my ice home intact. It would be warm inside for you too and I can stock it with all your favorite nuts. But, alas, I must come to accept that none of this will be the case. You won't come inside to escape from the cold, and you will most certainly stay out there in search of your nuts. This sad yet true reality beseeches me, and I find it to be unfair. But this is just what I see when I look out the window and daydream.
