Carnival: Children's Toys
Charlie was a small boy, no more than 5. Charlie’s favorite thing was cookies and stuffed animals. In that order. One day, Charlie was playing in his dad’s backyard. He had come to like being there with all his toys. He didn’t mind all the yelling anymore. If it got bad, he would close his eyes and imagine playing with the toys. He knew he could always be happy in his imagination with his toys. Something always interrupted though. Like when his father pulled him from the backyard, through his mom’s house, past his mom holding her fancy clear cup, past his dad, into the car, and headed to his father’s house. This is how Charlie understood weekends.

Carnival: Hop To It
Jason was running down a hallway, he fell to the ground and looked around frantically. His only light being that of the blinking red emergency light. Thinking he was safe, Jason slowly got to his feet. Nothing to his left. Nothing to his right. Nothing where he came from. Just him and the blinking red light. Still looking around, he reached behind himself. Reaching for the emergency exit that would lead to the alley. The emergency exit suddenly had the silhouette of a rabbit costume outside of the window. Watching. Jason.

Carnival: Take A Bite
A young boy, barely 8, was rushed to the hospital. He was found unconscious on the beach, faintly glowing green. It was a while before the young boy was awake and aware. Despite some oddities, the doctors and nurse deemed him healthy. The chalked up his state up to blunt force trauma, exposure to some strange algae, and ingesting a large amount of salt water. A social worker was called to come in as the young boy was receiving additional treatment and evaluations. The social worker was warned that the child suffered from violent night terrors.
