The Most Absurd of the "Not All Men, But..." Analogies
Sigh. "Not All Men". It shouldn't be controversial to say that. It really shouldn't. Nothing is ever all one group. So, how did we get to the point where saying that "Not All Men" is a bad thing?? We have. Whenever the subject of, say, gendered violence comes up, there is a flurry of negativity around men. Then, when men say, "Hey, not ALL men"...well, the conversation just starts heading south.

Why Isn't Anyone Listening to the Atlanta Murderer?
On Tuesday, March 16, Robert Aaron Long attacked women at three spa/massage parlors in Atlanta, Georgia, killing eight people. Six of those killed were Asian women. This sparked outrage, fear and controversy, especially in the Asian-American community. It has come at a time when violence and harassment towards Asian in the US appears to be quite high. And therefore, this is being addressed as an anti-Asian hate crime by seemingly everyone.

Why Everyone is Wrong About Jordan Peterson
How on earth did Jordan Peterson get to be such a controversial figure? How did he even become famous, for that matter? It seems that he is constantly in my social media news feeds, and the extreme polarization that comes with the guy boggles my mind.

I Am Not A Settler Or A Colonizer
I had no choice as to where and when I would be born. None. I didn't decide to be born a white dude in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada on a winter's day in 1973. I just came into this world and, bam, there I was. Deal with it. I'm here!

Yes, Cancel Culture DOES Exist
Can there be any more scary of a phrase than "Cancel culture doesn't exist, it's just people being held accountable." The amount of damage, destruction, abuse, harassment, discrimination, and death that can come from the idea of "just holding people accountable" is endless.

Should I Still Listen to Marylin Manson?
Oh boy. There appears to be a #MeToo reckoning happening in the metal world as Marylin Manson has been outed as an abuser by actress and former girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood. And there are no shortage of people saying he is guilty as hell.

On January 20th, 2021, the peaceful transfer of power that the United States is known for once again took place. Please Stop White Male Bashing
I cannot stress enough how important diversity is. We, the human race, come in all shapes, sizes, colours, genders, sexualities, ethnicities and backgrounds and deserve to be on an equal level to one another as much possible. We all need each other in our societies in cultures. It is important to celebrate all that we are as a species, and work together for the common good of human progress. Yes, we need to work to decrease racism, sexism, homophobia, and other prejudices to help create a better world.
