On The Young and the Restless, thanks to Jack and Theo, Kyle and Summer just celebrated a momentous occasion. There is more going on however than either of them realize at the moment. Theo breaking up with Summer and Jack agreeing to his son’s request that they become co-CEO’s has lit a spark that will eventually turn into a raging inferno. Immediately after his father agreed to his terms, Kyle told Lola, Theo, Jack and Mariah that he had to get back to the office. It was what he did not say that was most notable. It came across as if he wanted to add that he could not wait to tell Summer.
United States citizens are tired of the dog and pony show coming from our capital. Day after day members of the Republican Party show themselves to be more loyal to Donald Trump than the American people. How do these elected officials look at themselves in the mirror or sleep at night? The current commander in chief has never held a political office before. He is running the country the same way he has run businesses. Seeking the help of foreign governments to help him win in 2016 and again in 2020 is dirty pool but it’s the way the Donald had always done business. We really can’t fault him for being who he is. Those on Capital Hill who are enabling him have been in Washington for decades, and they know better.
The episode of The Young and the Restless that is scheduled for Wednesday may not be aired until Thursday because the of the impeachment hearings. Some fans have already viewed it online as I have. Whenever you watch it please pay close attention to the scenes with Victor and you will make a startling discovery. Eric Braeden, age 78, is a beloved soap veteran of 40 years. He has stated in interviews as well as his book I’ll be Dammed, that neither he nor Victor are going anywhere. Unfortunately, life happens and it looks as if it is happening to the Newman patriarch and the man who portrays him. Please don’t misquote me. I am not saying Eric Braeden is ill or that he will leave Y&R anytime soon. What I am addressing is the normal toll that growing older takes on everyone who is blessed to live to a senior age.
Wednesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless may not air until Thursday due to the impeachment proceedings. When it is shown, viewers will see a significant shift in the “Skyle” relationship. Jack met his son at Society where Kyle offered him a proposition. He wanted to be co-CEO with his dad and named the official successor to his grandfather’s legacy. Kyle said if that did not happen he would look for work somewhere else. Jack told his son he had given him much to think about then got up from the table. He was about to walk away, when he went back over to his son and agreed to his terms. Lola and Mariah has been watching from a distance and came over to see what was going on.
