Thomas Markle continues to embarrass himself by disrespecting Harry and Meghan
Prince Harry's father in law continues to make outlandish claims where his daughter is concerned and shows no signs of stopping. Thomas Markle obviously has no shame and does not care that he is embarrassing himself. He does not seem to have any concern for how his actions are affecting Meghan and her family.According to the Daily Mail, Thomas appeared in a documentary and said that he should be able to earn money off of Meghan and Harry. His reasoning is that they said a lot of “trashy things” about him. However, he also did the same thing. In fact, there is currently a lawsuit over Thomas giving a newspaper a private letter from his daughter. The media company published the letter. Celebrating the Soaps quotes from The Daily Mail who recently reported that the father of the Duchess said the following:

Lessons Learned From Menopause
Most women I know welcomed menopause but I did not and I believe it had something to do with the timing of my first menstrual period. As far as I can recall, all of the girls I grew up with began their monthly cycles at age 11 or 12. I, however, was a late bloomer in more ways than one. When I was in the 5th grade in an all black school, we went to the multi purpose room one day and a white woman showed us a sex ed film. This was the first time in five years at this school that I had ever seen a Caucasian face so this event has stuck with me. The woman explained where babies came from and also talked about monthly periods. She said that girls needed a towel and a belt to catch the blood and in my mind I pictured myself wearing a bath towel, held in place by a leather belt. It’s entirely possibly that the film we watched may have had illustrations of how to utilize the old school sanitary pads but I obviously was not paying attention.

LTD Back in love is a true classic
In 1977 the group L.T.D., (Love Togetherness and Devotion, recorded Back in love which made it to number one on the R&B charts where it stayed for two weeks and became a gold record. The song was also number four on Billboards hot 100 singles. Back in Love was written by Len Ron Hanks and Zane Grey, with Jeffrey Osborne singing lead. This song became the dance anthem that summer in my neck of the woods and more than likely all across the nation, and holds a special meaning for me. Every party that I attended for about a year played Back in love at least once and everybody would get on the floor.

- Second Place in Behind the Beat Challenge
Oh What A NightSecond Place in Behind the Beat Challenge
Oh what a night it was, New Years Eve 1975 and about 15 minutes before midnight. I had no idea my life was about to change, and that Frankie Valli's current hit would be a part of the process. December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" is actually a song by the group the Four Seasons, with Frankie Valli as their leader. This recording was written by Bob Gaudio, the original keyboardist for the group and his future wife Judy Parker. The song featured drummer Gerry Polci on lead vocals, with Valli singing backing vocals and the bridge sections. Don Ciccone the former lead singer of The Critters played base and sang the falsetto part of "And I felt a rush like a rolling ball of thunder, spinning my head around and taking my body under." December 63 reached number one in both the UK and the United States. I recall that during my senior year in high school there was a barn dance in the gym, complete with bales of hay. Just as I walked in and sat down December 63 began to play. I'm not certain, but this may have been my first time hearing it and I loved it right away. According to Wikepedia, this was the last hit for the Four Seasons as a group, but as a solo artist, Frankie Valli had another record breaker with Grease.

Atomic Dog- Bow wow wow yippie yo yippie yeah
One of my all time favorite songs is Atomic Dog by George Clinton. I truly get a kick out of the recent Etrade commercial where this funk hit is utilized. Even my 8 year old grandson stops what he is doing to watch the canines being pampered aboard the yacht. In my opinion, whoever came up with this advertisement is a genius. No matter where I am, when I hear Atomic Dog it makes me want to dance. The beat causes me to feel as if I am in my twenties again which is how old I was when this song was a hit. George Clinton's brand of funk remains relative in this changing world where artists like Snoop Dog admit sampling his material. Atomic Dog is special to me not just because of the dance beat but also the video which was made during the hey day of MTV. This is when music video's were fun and original. I especially love how George Clinton mixed animation with the live dancers. Atomic Dog was a favorite of my brother Bill Jones, who drowned on Father's Day 1993.
