'General Hospital' Obrecht and Brad have unfinished business
When General Hospital begins airing new episodes, fans will be eagerly awaiting the outcome of two Port Charles characters they love to hate. Obrecht and Brad are both behind bars for crimes they did not commit. Each of them has done things they knew were wrong but now they are paying the price for the actions of others. Peter framed Liesel, while Sonny and Julian put the fear of God in Brad making him confess to orchestrating the kidnapping of Jonah and replacing him with the dead baby. Everyone in Port Charles has turned their backs on Liesl except for Robert, Jason, and Spinelli. They are working hard to prove that Peter is guilty and set Obrecht free.

Oh Can't You See The Morning After
This morning I decided on a new anthem to get me through to the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic. It's Maureen McGovern's 1973 hit, "The Morning After." This song was written by Al Kasha and Joel Hirschhorn for the 1972 blockbuster movie "The Poseidon Adventure." McGovern recorded her version of the tune in 1974 and it quickly went to number one on the pop charts. For those who have never seen the movie, it is about a luxury liner that capsizes and there was a tremendous loss of life. There were numerous perils within the upsidedown vessel for those who initially escaped death. During the course of the film, however, some of those who believed they would make it out alive perished along the way. The rest continued to endure great trials as they sought to survive. At the movie's end, only a few of the ship's passengers emerged alive and well. They stood, gazing upon the sun shining on the morning after, as the song was playing.

Don’t let nothing break your stride
During the pandemic my husband and I have been listening to a lot of music to keep our spirits up. We have enjoyed rock, country, pop, soul, new wave, reggae, go go and R&B. One song in particular that motivates me personally right now is “Break my stride” by Matthew Wider. This catchy toon has a calypso beat and lyrics that stick in your head. The chorus has been my anthem for the past month.

Sagging pants have a dark history rooted in American slavery and rape
Young men in America began wearing sagging pants during the 1990’s. Unlike other fads that come and go this one style has stuck around for 30 years. The origin of this fashion statement has a dark history, that many people might not be aware of. It began when Africans were first enslaved in America and was derived from a custom referred to as “Buck busting” or “Buck breaking .” These terms initially referred to taming wild horses but southern plantation owners used these phrases to refer to black males who were just as human as they were.

'General Hospital' Dev Cerci could be Brenda Barrett's son Alec
General Hospital spoilers are throwing out all kinds of scenarios regarding the identity of Dev Cerci's biological father. Prior to the soap halting production, spoilers had been saying that his dad is someone currently living in Port Charles. Soap Dirt is now offering a different scenario, which could turn out to be the correct one. They are suggesting that the teen's mom might be Jax, and Sonny's former flame, Brenda Barrett. Longtime GH viewers might remember that a number of years ago Brenda was involved with Aleksander Janacek, who was the son of The Balkan. He had ties to the mob and became abusive towards her and she fled to New York. He followed her there and Soap Dirt says Brenda shot him but Wiki Fandom says that Sonny's son Dante was Brenda's bodyguard and he killed Aleksander.

‘General Hospital’ Dev Cerci’s biological dad may be living in Port Charles
Devlyn Cerci Corinthos is a man of mystery and General Hospital viewers need some answers about him. Prior to the Covid 19 pandemic, G H spoilers suggested that Dev's real father could be living in Port Charles and currently on the show. The teen came from Turkey where he had helped Sonny rescue Dante and has been vague about his parents whenever asked. Fans know there is a secret and hope it will be revealed when new episodes air. Dev is a complicated young man who brushed off both Joss and Trina when they kissed him. It's not clear if he has romantic feelings for either, or where his head is on many issues. One thing that is certain is that something is amiss and those who watch the ABC daytime drama want to know what's really going on.

Donald Trump believes all Whites are racist and proud
Donald Trump continues to sink to new levels by spewing vitriol and his actions have consequences for those who do not look like him. Never could I, nor many others have ever imagined an America where the commander in chief would promote intolerance. We are now living in that day and it is a dangerous time for many citizens in this nation. The latest stunt of number 45 is that he allowed a few of his base to shout “White power” and did not discourage them. As an African American this is troubling to me because it means that people who look like me are in danger. Black, Brown, Red and Yellow Americans are at risk from attacks from white supremacists Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Asians, Hispanics, the LBGTQ community and basically everyone who is not a WASP- White Anglo Saxon Protestsnt, AKA Evangelicals are in danger of hate crimes.

"The Young and the Restless" celebrates Doug Davidson
Spoiler alerts are revealing that a fan favorite will have a lot of on screen time this week in Genoa City. Soap Dirt indicates that during the week of June 29-July 3, The Young and the Restless will feature Paul Williams in two episodes. Each one will show one of Paul's weddings and his mother Mary will also be seen. The 1994 wedding is Paul and Christine but Soap Dirt does not say who he married in 1996. Soaps She Knows indicates that it will be the second marriage to Christine. It's great to go back down memory lane but viewers are not impressed when it comes to the Genoa City police chief. Fans complained on social media not long ago when Paul and Christine's honeymoon was featured.
