Daytime television may be on hiatus again
Soap fans should brace themselves for another hiatus from watching their favorite daytime drama programs. Production in California has been halted because of the rise in the numbers of people infected with the coronavirus. According to Deadline, The major studios and streamers, meanwhile, are already on production hiatus in Southern California until mid-January. The agreement to halt local commercial production was announced tonight by SAG-AFTRA, the Producer Guild of America, and the Joint Policy Committee of the Association of National Advertisers and the American Association of Advertising Agencies."

Bradley Bell gives fans two teasers for 'The Bold and the Beautiful'
Soap Opera Spy has shared information from an interview with The Bold and the Beautiful executive producer Bradley Bell. The subject was the storylines going forward on the CBS daytime drama. Viewers know that last Friday Steffy told Liam that she is pregnant. There is no indication, at least not yet that he knows she also slept with Dr. Finn. Bell offered two facts about this situation but no details of how it will play out. This leaves the fans to put their deductive skills to use and attempt to figure it all out.

Tina Louise is the last surviving member of the cast of ‘Gilligan’s Island’
The recent death of 84 year old Dawn Wells has stunned her fans. The actress was most well known for and beloved because of her role as Mary Anne on Gilligan’s Island. Now that Wells has passed on, Tina Louise is the sole surviving cast member of the hit television show. The actress was born Tina Blacker on February 11, 1934, to Jewish parents. She is best known for her role as the movie star Ginger Grant in the CBS television situation comedy which ran from 1964-1967. Tina began her career on stage in the 1950s and in 1958 landed her breakout role in the film God's Little Acre. The actress won the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year.

During the sheltering in place because of the coronavirus, many Americans have been watching a lot of TV. This has brought about a trend towards viewing old favorite television series from the 1960s, 1970s. and the1980s. One that is pretty popular is Little House on the Prarie which starred Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert. Longtime fans of the program about pioneer life in Walnut Grove Minnesota have enjoyed the trip down memory lane and new viewers have been added who were not originally familiar with the show.

New Year's Wisdom from Angel Kitty in 'Toy Story That Time Forgot'
Greet the world with open arms Toy Story That Time Forgot is a 2014 animated short, made for television that is based on the Toy Story movies. In this cartoon, it's Christmas Day and Bonnie is playing with her toys. She removes what appears to be an ornament from the tree but it's a soft plushy kitten with gold angel wings and a gold halo. She calls it the terrifying Kittysaraus and pretends it's a dinosaur. She lets the kitten join the fun until her mother calls. After Bonnie leaves the room the toys say how much they enjoyed the experience.

'General Hospital' alum Kimberly McCullough pays tribute to the late dancer Shabba Doo
Long time General Hospital viewers can remember 7-year-old Kimberly McCullough's debut as 6 year old Robin Scorpio. What may not be known is that this was not the first role for the actress turned director. She began her career in a movie, as a dancer at age 5. McCullough got her start as a young blonde girl in pigtails who was with a group of young dancers in Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo. She shared this recently on social media, after the death of the legendary Shabba Doo who was the star of Breakin and its sequel. McCullough said that although he was the "Big Cheese" he treated her well and made her feel as if she belonged.

Alex Trebek's final week of Jeopardy!'
Game show host Alex Trebek passed away from pancreatic cancer on Nov. 8, 2020, at age 80. He worked until just 10 days before his death in spite of the toll that the disease and it's treatments were taking on him. The final new "Jeopardy!" episodes that he hosted will air during the week of January 4-8. There will be memorable highlights from the past that are sure to please fans of the show. According to a producer from Sony Pictures Television, the first of the final episodes will air Monday with Trebek offering a "powerful message about the season of giving." The final episode, which airs on Friday, will conclude with a beautiful tribute to the beloved, longtime Jeopardy!' host.

The New Year has finally arrived and we have transitioned from 2020 and left it behind. Life took us all by surprise last year and threw quite a few curve balls but here we are with a bright shiny New Year to look forward to. Based on the Jewish calendar our current year that we call 2021,(MMXXI) is 5781. That’s a difference of 3760 years. January is the beginning of a different year in parts of the world where the time zone is UTC+01:00 or later, and includes most of Africa, Europe, Asia, and western Oceania. 2021 began on Friday, January 1, of the Gregorian calendar.

Steffy's pregnancy opens the door for chaos on 'The Bold and the Beautiful.'
Friday on The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy dropped a bombshell on Liam by telling him she is pregnant. What she did not say, and possibly may address on Monday is that he is not the only candidate for the baby's father. Just days after sleeping with Liam, Steffy went to bed with Finn. She has been adamant that Liam keep their secret but now it may have to come to light. Dr. Finn could turn out to be the baby daddy and problem solved but that would make things too easy. Steffy is going to have to tell her beau at some point but in the meantime what will she do?
