A healthy side effect related to COVID-19
There is nothing good about COVID-19 and the havoc it has brought upon the world, but there has been one positive side effect. Perhaps you may not have noticed it but I have and it's pretty amazing. The social distancing, washing of hands, wearing masks, disinfecting, and sanitizing have led to fewer people complaining of colds, flu, and pneumonia. I base this on my Facebook newsfeed as well as what I see around me. For decades I have observed that between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day a lot of people say they are sick. This year, thus far that has not been the case.

Anna M Mangin invented the pastry fork
If Anna M Mangin's name and photo are foreign to you then I am very happy to introduce this innovative young woman to you. She invented the pastry fork and the pastry fork spatula in 1891, and they continue to be widely utilized today. (The actual first spatula was invented one year earlier by John Spaduala, in 1890.) When it comes to Black History, I am different from most and search for the unsung heroes. When my children were in school, I advised them to not write about Dr. King and Rosa Parks whose works are already well known.

The Legend of the Crossroads
A crossroads is when you come to an intersection of a highway, road, or, path. It can also be a journey in life where you must decide the direction you will take. For some, however, the crossroads is a physical location where the spirit realm is opened. It is believed that entertainers go there to sell their souls to Satan in exchange for the riches of this world. The legend of the Crossroads became official with a young black man named Robert Johnson who was desperate to become a guitar player but had no talent. The story goes that Johnson heard folklore that explained how an aspiring bluesman could become successful.

Valentine' Day can be sweeter and healthier with dark chocolate
Valentine's Day is February 14 and people everywhere will be purchasing sweets for their sweethearts. On this date, more chocolate is sold than at any other time during the year. It all began in 1861 when Richard Cadbury, son of Cadbury Company founder John Cadbury first introduced heart-shaped boxes of candy for Valentine's Day. Over the years this has evolved into big business and in recent years more dark chocolate is being been sold. If you have decided to purchase candy for someone special, the best way to show you care is to make dark chocolate your choice. This type of chocolate offers more health benefits than does plain milk chocolate, which has more nutrients and less sugar.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Perhaps Finn might switch the paternity test instead of Vinny
Those who watch The Bold and the Beautiful know that logic rarely comes into the storylines but for the sake of argument let's look at a certain scenario from a logical perspective. Celebrating the Soaps and several other spoilers have fans running with the possibility that Vinny is going to change Steffy's paternity test. This is certainly a possibility, although not likely and if it happens I stand corrected. Spoiler alerts had said that Vinny was going to show up again and cause some trouble. After his talk with his good friend, the thinking is that he will change the paternity test to ensure Liam is declared Steffy's baby daddy so let's discuss this.
