If you enjoyed the original Twilight Zone series then you will absolutely love Alfred Hitchcock Presents
During the pandemic I found myself watching a lot of METV and experienced a wonderful benefit. I began enjoying the original episodes of the Twilight Zone and also Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Often when I fell asleep, I would wake up and not be able to tell which program was on. This was because many of the same actors were on multiple episodes of both television series. If you enjoy the old black and white television programming from the 1950s and 1960s and were a fan of The Twilight Zone, you will really enjoy watching Alfred Hitchcock presents. The reverse is also true.

The children's tale 'The tortoise and the hare' is a great writing incentive
I don't know if this story is still told to children today, but those of us over age 50 grew up being taught one of Aesop's fables titled The Tortoise and the Hare. Aesop was said to have been a Greek philosopher but he has also been identified as an Ethiopian because of his name and the dialect used in many of his stories. I find The tortoise and the hare to be a wonderful motivator for writing on Vocal so let me refresh the memories of some and introduce to others this famous tale.

Dealing with the pettiness of those who others hold in high esteem
I begin this by thanking the Vocal team for so many categories that I can write about practically anything that comes to mind. I state now as I have many times before that it’s not that I should not tell my stories but I never should have these stories to tell. We all have heard the many accounts in recent years of celebrities, preachers, politicians, and others in high positions who have been accused of sexual harassment. The victims often were afraid to come forward because they felt no one would believe them as their attackers were thought so well of in the community.

Gossip site spreads unfounded rumors regarding Prince Harry and Meghan
According to MSN, there a tabloid reporting site known as Gossip.com which spreads falsehoods about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on a regular basis. The last unproven story is fueling the fire behind those who want to think the worst of the Dutchess of Sussex. The tabloid is alleging that Meghan is only using Harry to get two children out of him. The reports say she will divorce the prince once baby number two is born. This feeds into the narrative that Meghan has always wanted a prince and sought out Harry for her own selfish purposes.

Sneaking in some romance was so much fun
My husband of 40 years passed away 2 weeks ago. It’s still so fresh and hurts so bad. I’ve been thinking back on our 45 years together and fond memories are coming to mind. We met at a party in April 1976 and danced a few times. One week later he came to visit and we exchanged bracelets and 20 days after that I have my virginity to him. In those days most teen girls valued being a virgin and wanted to wait until they found the right guy. I was 17 and believed I was giving my most prized possession to the man who deserved it. My grandmother and brothers were asleep and had no idea what took place.

Grieving people need support and not marching orders
This article is not for everyone but it is indeed for those who become overzealous in an attempt to be helpful. Grief 101. Never tell a grieving person what they need. We are all individuals and handle situations differently. Just because a method worked for you does not indicate that it will benefit everyone. Always suggest an idea and allow the other person the right to say yes, no, or maybe. Someone else’s grieving process is not supposed to be your pet project. It’s not about you. While you may have first hand experience with the death of a beloved pet, best friend, spouse, child, or parent or other loved one you can never know exactly what another human being actually needs.

Grief can strike at any moment
I am finding that since my husband passed away that writing about aspects my experiences is the best therapy. I can share what I am dealing with and hopefully help someone else who may find themselves in this unfortunate situation. I have been blessed to have people calling and checking on me and my daughter and grandchildren spending extra time with me. I know that there are benefits to counseling sessions but I also must face a harsh reality. There will be moments when the pain of grief will randomly show its ugly head and all I will be able to do is bear it.

Truth has consequences on 'General Hospital'
Spoilers for General Hospital indicate that a number of Port Charles residents will wrestle with revealing the truth about current situations this week. Each one will decide what they think is best for their own personal lives. The big news is that Nina will visit Phyllis and find Sonny who is going by Mike. She will be stunned that he has amnesia and consider letting his family know that he is alive. By mid-week however, Nina will decide to keep this information to herself. She will no doubt consider the fact that Michael and Carly don't want her in Wiley's life right now.
