It Is Lonely When You're Among People, Too
In 2006, I was challenged by an author to write a poem in French about The Little Prince. The piece would be featured in an anthology paying homage to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's most famous book. Of course, I said yes! It was a fun experience.

Toulouse, France: A Video
A few days ago, I published the fifth and last part of the travelogue of my birth city of Toulouse. Many of you shared how much you had enjoyed the whole series. That makes me very happy, because I want more people to discover what southern France has to offer. Paris is nice, but it is not all there is to see in the country.

I'll Make This Moment Mine
Like many of you, I am a night owl. In my early days as a poet, my most inspired moments were around 3 a.m. (There is a scientific explanation for this. Apparently, it has to do with the prefrontal cortex—the part of the brain involved in things like concentration, planning, rewards, and working memory. When we are tired and supposed to go to bed, the prefrontal cortex becomes less active. In turn, other parts of the brain have more free rein to do their things, which includes unleashed creativity! If you want more info on this, you can read this article.)

Last Night
I started my artistic career in 2005. My first love was poetry and I wrote numerous poems for the first five years. While I prefer my current style, because it is the result of growth and is influenced by my other passions (photography, haiku, artistic projects with other artists, etc.), I still re-read my old pieces once a while. But I do it with a twist: I pretend I am one of my own readers. This removes the potential for self-criticism and makes the process a lot more enjoyable.
