Abelard - Chapter 14 - Abelard - Father sets him down for 'The Talk'
The city of Lusterlin, light lit by the half full moon above, was truly a beautiful place. Abelard paused, briefly, at his favorite viewing spot on the bridge, the reflection of the moon's glow visible on the Lustre river below. The same spot he had accidentally startled the moon gazing Darkling.... Was it truly only weeks ago? It seemed a lifetime!
Chapter 13 - Abelard & The Great Diviner
As the Four Heralds, (The Rude Awakenings? Zigras's Troupe? They really did need to figure out a name, he supposed), went about their Tor downtime business, Abelard sets himself up in the Tor's grand library and continues his seemingly never ending reading of the Devilish Soul Binding Contract he had unwittingly signed.
Abelard - Chapter 12 - Full moon, Werewolves, and a long road ahead!
As the party wound down for the evening, lullabied to peaceful rest by the Zigras’ peaceful, nurturing song of the forest, and sheltered by the protections of her tiny hut, the gloaming Hearth magics of the Trillium, their Elven guide, Rissalya’s knowledge of the terrain, and the unsleeping watchful eyes of the slain orc war chief under Abelard's control, a chilled wind began to blow in from the West.
Chapter 11 - Abelard - Abra Cadabra, the Orcs disappear!
The party had chosen their ground well. A long open stretch of road, the only cover for a quarter mile was the small grove they, themselves were hidden. Abelard would stand ahead, alone, set defensively, and taunt the Orc Warband into the kill zone.
Chapter 10 - Abelard - Apparently Hopswych makes Everything Hungry
Abelard allowed himself to be drawn up the hill by Buskin's delighted exclamations that they would "Want to see this!" Falling in beside Zigras, the young Half Elf couldn't help but recall how excellent her timing in returning to the party had been.
Chapter 8 - Abelard
Abelard awoke in his room in the Halfling village of Hopswych's Humble House Inn nearly smothered in pillows and blankets. After days, weeks?, of sleeping on the hard floors of Twinkleblink's Tower of Terror, the young Half Elf was not going to pretend that it felt weird. Blissfully, wonderfully, weird.
Chapter 7 - Abelard - What ARE you?
As the party set themselves up at the north crossroads to rest and decide whether to next check the stairs down to the loud snoring or to cross the odd lightening conveyors, Abelard leaned over towards Zigras. "Zigras. You have traveled a fair bit, yes? I was replaying that horrible combat in my head and there is something I just do not understand."
Chapter 6 - Abelard - A Helping Hand
The day had been a frenetic one. Corrupted energies, Clockworks, Aberrations, nearly losing Buskin to a mechanical whirlpool of blades. They were alive, but barely, and seemingly by luck alone. It had not been their finest hour. Abelard knew, full well, that if it had not been for the selfless heroics of Buskin’s childhood friend Umfrey, and his unstoppable daughter, Busy, they would have perished in that conveyor belt room. Now night found them, bloodied and beaten, hiding in a supply closet. Around them, what passed for stillness within this Clockwork Cosmotorium. Incessant humming. Whirs, Clicks, and a never ending cacophony of maniacal metallic machinery. Even locked away, safely, within their secured room, the surrounding feeling of menace, purposeful menace, was palpable. And it never went away.
Chapter 5 - Abelard Pre-Story 5
Leaving Jerydia Abelard again made use of his ability to look and talk the part, along with a, likely still unwarranted, beginning to feel like he was a true sailor, and found himself night crew for the ‘Lookout Below’ a Salvage ship, holds full and bound for Mykros.
