Music is medicine for the heart, soul, and most importantly the brain. Many moms play Mozart while their babies are still in the womb, and many teachers pay music to help their students learn and retain knowledge better. Stroke victims listen to classical or jazz music to increase the verbal memory and attention span. It's been said that music and math go hand in hand. Typically, those who play an instrument are pretty good at math. Music improves physical performance as well as attention and concentration. Relaxing music helps calm your body so you can sleep better. It helps people suffering from different diseases control erratic movements, and temper tantrums. Overall, I'd say music is pretty beneficial in every aspect of a persons life.
I was sitting in my favorite breakfast/brunch place called Diner Bakery Company in Kennesaw, GA with my best friend. She and I have always been lovers of food and we probably have a problem with over-ordering, but we don't care. We like to try everything. And we explained this to our waitress, even called ourselves fatties. She corrected us immediately and said we aren't fatties. We're foodies. And that has stuck with me ever since.
You know the old feeling? The one where your heart beats three times as fast. The feeling of every inch of your body feeling like its on fire every time they touch you. The air leaving your lungs when they walk into the room. The love in their eyes whenever they look at you. It was magical, wasn't it? And I'm sure you miss it very much.
I’m 21-years-old and I live with my parents. And let’s be honest, there is nothing ideal, fun, sexy, or cool about it.
Often times when I tell people that I have only lived in Georgia for nine years, they are surprised that a person as young as myself hasn't lived here my whole life. Well that's because I am the daughter of a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force. I am also the granddaughter of a Lieutenant General (3 Stars) in the US Air Force. I have moved around a lot since I was born. My dad has moved even more times than me. I have been one of the more fortunate people to have at least lived somewhere for more than two years.
No, but seriously. I stood there naked. Let me explain. I have allowed the idea of love into my head three times in the life I've lived so far. Three times I got burned, but each time I learned something new about myself and about life. I'm a firm believer in taking the most out of a bad situation and turning it into something good. I learned a long time ago that that's the only way to stay positive about life. For all the ladies that read this, the lesson I learned here was to never let someone manipulate you into something you don't want. Never let them hurt you, hurt your feelings, hurt you soul. Never let them speak to you like you are nothing more than the scum on the bottom of a dirty shoe. And NEVER stop believing how truly beautiful and wonderful you are.
