To people who just got diagnosed with Borderline Personality disorder
Borderline Personality disorder is a crazy diagnosis because very little of society is educated on the disorder itself and most of the information out there is not hopeful/completely accurate. It's also very scary, 10% of people with the diagnosis take their own life, and 70% of people with the diagnosis have attempted suicide at least once.
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. I still think there is a dimension out there that does not have them, the one I grew up in. The fact of the matter is though me and my two best friends Tripp and Ria are no longer in that dimension. We are in the same town but all of the houses are empty, there are no people, no cars, no regular animals. We got thrown into this world 8 days ago but Ill tell you all of the details of how it happened and maybe going through it can help us figure out how we got into this mess in the first place.
Breaking up through a blog post
Anxiety causes us to do some crazy things, and I never thought I would be doing this exact thing right now either for the message I'm sending or the way I'm sending it. So here it goes this one is to the family, I hope you guys read this with an open mind and I hope that other people that relate to this know you are not alone.
How my intuition could of killed me
Let's set the scene so you can picture this in your head, 10:30 pm in my condo parking lot grabbing my keys out of my fiance's car for work the next morning. I am fully bent over in the passenger side of the car reaching for my keys. After I grab them and stand back up, I immediately after turning around notice an older man making direct eye contact with me, speed walking right at me. It was in slow motion and what was probably only a few milliseconds felt like a few minutes, I was frozen with fear as he got closer but eventually got the courage to take my phone out of my pocket without breaking eye contact.
Living a Lie to Stay Alive
It's startling to have lived with something your whole life and have so little information on it... Or that's how it would have gone if this exact blog post would have been finished and published if I wrote it 4 months ago when I initially wrote the headline and the first sentence. I was eager to write about it but I had a hesitancy stopping me. It was at the beginning of a newfound love of educating myself and becoming more self-aware of my mental illness, but it was at the beginning of it so I didn't feel like my words would or could help anybody in my position yet.
What is dating someone with BPD like?
Question #1: Before we met, what information did you have on Borderline Personality disorder? Oh god. Very little. Very very very little. All I knew about Borderline is that it was the mental illness with the highest successful suicide rate and that's about it.
