My Review of "Unbroken:Path to Redemption"
The title of Unbroken: Path to Redemption is kind of confusing to me. The reason why it's confusing is because I already reviewed a movie called Unbroken (https://vocal.media/serve/my-review-of-unbroken). That movie was directed by Angelina Jolie and it was actually a pretty good one. It talked about the extraordinary things that Louis Zamperini had to deal with during the war.

My Review of "The Kominsky Method: Season two"
When I saw the Kominsky Method last year I didn't know what to think. A dramedy (comedy and drama) based on two senior citizens? I sat and binged watched the first season because it was so good. I could believe that this odd couple would riff off each other so well and have such realistic situations happen to them. Well realistic is kind of stretching it since one of old guys is super rich.

My Review of "The Irishman"
The Irishman is the latest Martin Scorsese film and it so happens to be exclusive to Netflix. This really shows that Netflix is willing to pay top talent to get exclusive rights to high caliber content on their streaming service. It makes sense too because there is a lot of competition coming their way in terms of competing streaming services.

My Review of "Iron Fists and Kung Fu Kicks"
I wasn't sure what to make of Iron Fists and Kung Fu Kicks when it became available on Netflix. I thought it was an actual movie but it was actually a documentary. Why not? I like Kung Fu movies as much as the next person, let's see how it goes.

My Review of "Katt Williams: The Pimp Chronicles Pt.1"
I recently rewatched Katt Williams' 2006 HBO comedy special, The Pimp Chronicles Pt. 1. I remember laughing my butt off when I first saw this back in the day. It would be interesting to see how it fared today. I didn't think that the material back then would translate well to today's climate but I was wrong.

My Review of "Star Trek (2009)"
I remember first seeing this remake of Star Trek and being in awe of it. I was a fan of the original series so I wasn't sure how the new Star Trek would pan out. It was also the time when J. J. Abrams was starting to make bigger budget movies so we didn't know what he was capable of.

My Review of "The Cat in the Hat"
I don't remember there being a ton of content to make a movie about when I remember the kids book "The Cat in the Hat" by Dr. Seuss. I guess I was wrong. They made a full kids movie about of this book back in 2003. They haven't seemed to stop making movie adaptations of Dr. Seuss books since then so they must be doing something right?

My Review of "Ferdinand"
I didn't think much of Ferdinand when I first saw the promo for the movie. It didn't really speak to me as it was supposed to be about a bull in Spain. There wasn't too much advertising for the movie so it also seemed to be a pretty low budget animated film.

My Review of "Masterminds"
When Masterminds first came out in 2016, I wasn't exactly really excited to watch it. The story was kind of interesting but I've always been kind of 50/50 with Zach Galifianakis comedies. Sometimes I get his humor and I'll find his comedy to be hilarious but other times I can find him rather annoying and totally miss out on the jokes. It's not really his fault, he's been consistent I've just always been off and on with his type of humor.

My Review of "Ronny Chieng: Asian Comedian Destroys America"
I have to admit, I haven't heard of Ronny Chieng before this comedy special. In fact, I don't think I know too many Asian comedians in general. The handful of Asian comedians that I have heard of I kind of steer clear with the exception of Ali Wong, Russell Peters (back in the day) and Aziz Ansari. This is particularly weird because I am Asian so you'd think I would gravitate to Asian comedians.

My Review of "Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer (1964)"
I remember watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer back when I was a kid in the 1980s. I was in awe of the stop motion animation that they did for the movie. I loved the story. It also always played every Christmas season so I wasn't sure if this was a Stockholm Syndrome kind of thing where I loved it because it just played all the time and I didn't have much choice in the matter.

My Review of "Jumanji: The Next Level"
Jumanji was a huge hit when it first came out in the 90's. It's only natural with all of the remakes that we're getting nowadays that they would want to remake this movie. When they remade the movie they put a totally different spin to the whole franchise which made the movie feel fresh and fun while still paying some homage to the original. Movie studios are predictable so you know that they had to have a sequel to the newly revamped Jumanji franchise. Here we are today with the new Jumanji film appropriately subtitled "the next level".
